We have a current opening for a eCommerce Category Development Manager and are actively reviewing applications.

As our eCommerce Category Manager, you will leverage data and consumer insights to create category strategies that accelerate growth across the eCommerce landscape. You will work with major online and omnichannel retailers to identify opportunities, strengthen category performance, and increase digital shopper engagement. By collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Shopper Insights teams, you will provide objective, strategic recommendations that support both customer success and business growth. This role is Hybrid, with the candidates based in either Parsippany, NJ or Bentonville, AR reporting to the VP of Category Management. 

  • Maintain and communicate Ferrero’s strategy for growing Sweet Packaged Food categories in eCommerce, leveraging digital-optimized frameworks including taxonomy, digital planograms, filtering logic, shopper navigation, and content best practices.
  • Translate Category Management annual and long-term priorities into actionable eCommerce and omnichannel growth initiatives.
  • Act as an advisor during joint business planning sessions with key customers to identify opportunities to drive category growth within the Confections, Spreads, and Cookie categories.
  • Partner with account teams and cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Shopper Insights, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, eCommerce, and Revenue Growth Management, to develop and execute category growth strategies.
  • Present category reviews, business insights, and growth recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage syndicated data, ePOS, shopper insights, customer data, digital shelf analytics, and research to identify category trends, shopper behaviors, competitive dynamics, whitespace opportunities, and actionable growth recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain category performance scorecards, tracking digital shelf health, search visibility, online availability, conversion, ratings and reviews, and overall category performance.
  • Leverage digital shopper behavior and omnichannel insights to inform assortment, shelving, merchandising, pricing, and promotional recommendations across retail channels.
  • Identify opportunities to increase online category penetration and enhance the digital shopping experience across platforms and retailers.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with customer teams, establishing Ferrero as a trusted category advisor.
  • Monitor leading indicators and market trends to proactively identify growth opportunities and potential business risks.
  • Shape the organization’s digital category management capabilities through the development of tools, measurement frameworks, best practices, and playbooks.
  • 7+ years relevant experience required, CPG Foods experience is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/marketing discipline required; MBA a plus
  • Prior eCommerce role required; Category Management experience preferred 
  • Syndicated data required; ePOS and Customer Data (Scintilla, 8451) experience preferred
  • Digital Shelf data experience preferred (e.g. Profitero, Scintilla)
  • Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary internal and external stakeholders, building solid relationships and customer influencing skills
  • Strategic and proactive thinking to develop category strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives 
  • Solid MS Office skills, especially Excel & PowerPoint, and Storytelling capabilities to translate data & insights into selling narratives
  • Management presentation competencies to effectively present key category insights to senior leadership
  • Global mindset; desire to build a successful career with a growing global company
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
  • 25% Travel required for customer meetings and industry events

The base compensation range for this position is $166,000.00 - $208,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
