We have a current opening for a E-Commerce Customer Commercial Planning Analyst and are actively reviewing applications.

The E-Commerce Customer Commercial Planning Analyst supports customer forecasting, promotional planning, trade-spend tracking, and business performance reporting for assigned customers and channels. Working closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Trade Marketing teams, this role helps maintain forecast accuracy, monitor customer investments, analyze business performance, and provide insights that support commercial decision-making. The position is ideal for a professional looking to build expertise in customer planning, commercial analytics, and revenue management within a fast-paced consumer goods environment.

This role is hybrid and will be based out of our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ. 

1) Volume Planning & Forecast Management

  • Guide and coordinate the commercial planning process with focus on short-term forecasting (within FY) for customers under scope
  • With the support of Sales, collect and share all the commercial inputs needed for baseline forecast cleansing activity purpose​​s with Demand Planning
  • Review with Sales the total forecast at customer / channel level, highlighting any risk and/or opportunities and related adjustments needed for the relative stakeholders
  • Review total market forecast in preparation of Customer DMR, framing key risks, opportunities and recommended commercial actions within short-term forecast horizon​
  • Ensure coherence among short-term vs long term volumes as defined in S&OP Board considering both customer perspective as well as more aggregated level perspective​

2) Promotional Planning & Optimization

  • Optimize promo plan within customer scope rebalancing mix and intensity based on post-event learnings​
  • Collaborate with Sales (KAM) on promo plan construction including proper quantification of promotional uplift
  • Monitor and ensure promo execution in coherence with promo guidelines defined by R&TM – Pricing team, ensuring commercial plans are aligned with value and profitability objective

3) Trade Spend & Financial Management

  • Monitor total trade spend (actual vs BDG) in close coordination with Finance monthly
  • Plan BDG / SAF for trade-spend funds in coordination with Finance 
  • Approve any request on promo activities (Within customers under scope)
  • Monitor the P&L of the customer including key performance indicators such as Profit Pool, Customer Margin trade Margin %, Promotion ROI, and mix management.
  • Support Joint Business planning process and develop customer argumentation for suggested changes to promotion and pricing strategy leveraging RMT capability (Profit pool, Fair treatment, ROI, etc)

4) Commercial Performance Analysis

  • Provide fact-based insights on customer performance, business trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify risks, opportunities, and drivers impacting volume, profitability, and customer investment returns.
  • Develop reporting and performance scorecards to support customer reviews and commercial decision-making.
  • Deliver recommendations that improve forecast accuracy, promotional effectiveness, and financial results.

5) Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Planning

  • Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and IT teams to support customer planning processes.
  • Contribute to Joint Business Planning (JBP) activities and strategic customer initiatives.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders to ensure successful execution of customer plans.
  • Support customer reviews, business updates, and commercial planning discussions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Sales Analytics, Commercial Finance, Business Planning, Demand Planning, Trade Marketing, Category Management, or a related commercial function.
  • Experience supporting forecasting, reporting, budgeting, or business performance analysis activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, work independently, and proactively solve problems.
  • Exposure to customer planning, trade spend management, sales operations, or financial reporting processes preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools is a plus.

The base compensation range for this position is $94,000.00 - $118,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
