As a Production Team Leader at our Ferrero Halstead site, home of Eat Natural, you will be responsible for overseeing a defined area of our food manufacturing operations. You will lead and support a team of production operatives to ensure daily production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and health & safety.

Acting as the first point of escalation, you will intervene promptly to resolve issues, minimise downtime, and keep operations running efficiently. You will also play an active role in driving continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to improve processes and implementing corrective actions to enhance performance.

In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day production activities within your area, ensuring people, processes, and performance are effectively managed. You will lead by example on safety, quality, and standards, while working closely with other Team Leaders and departments to support smooth and efficient operations across the site.

  • Supervise daily production activities, ensuring output targets are met while maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance standards.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives, providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve strong performance.

  • Monitor production processes, identify and resolve operational issues, update systems such as SAP accurately, and actively support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

You are a confident and supportive leader with experience working in a food manufacturing or production environment. You are comfortable supervising teams on the shop floor, making day-to-day operational decisions, and stepping in to resolve issues when required. You lead by example, with a strong focus on health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

  • You have experience leading or supervising a production team and are confident managing performance, training, and engagement.

  • You have a good understanding of food safety, quality standards, and health & safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.

  • You are organised, proactive, and comfortable using systems such as SAP, or related systems to record production activity and support continuous improvement.
