About the Role:
Directs and coordinates all activities relating to the repair and maintenance of all production, plant, and support equipment. Responsible for the reliability and efficiency of said equipment.
Reports to Plant Director
Supervises Maintenance Supervisors, Planner, MRO Coordinator and Stores Supervisor
Main Responsibilities:
· Manages maintenance department and all activities related to equipment reliability and efficiency.
· Directs and coordinates all outside contractors used for maintenance of plant support equipment as required.
· Develops and implements preventive/predictive maintenance programs for all plant and production equipment. Schedules and coordinates PM/PdM work, along with annual rebuilds.
· Directs maintenance storeroom activities. Ensures spare part inventories are adequate and accurate at all times.
· Manages computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ensures system is being utilized correctly and effectively.
· Provides leadership and support to department staff to stimulate maximum efficiency and productivity of both supervisors and bargaining unit employees.
· Develops employees’ skills and provides training on equipment and processes as necessary.
· Ensures that all maintenance employees follow safe work practices to minimize the possibility of accident or injury.
· Performs other duties as directed or as necessity/judgment dictates.
· Must have working knowledge of union contract and company policies and be able to interpret them in order to answer employees’ questions and administer discipline.
· Conduct daily inspections throughout plant to check production; confer with production personnel on methods to improve various functions.
· Act as HACCP pre-requisite program developer.

· Must have the ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules and specific time constraints.
· Has 24-hour responsibility for maintenance.
· Must have excellent communication skills.

Compensation Data
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $145,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
