The Israel Head of Finance will report to Africa Levante Region Head of Finance, and he/she will act as business partner to the General Manager and the Management Committee to drive performance management and key decisions, resource allocation choices, strategies formulations and steer their implementation. He/she will be a key member of the Management Board in steering short and mid-term business performance and lead the risk management and governance processes, steer performance improvement plans and drive the cost agenda through the coordination of financial planning and controlling activities, and Budget processes management according to guidelines and objectives defined at Group/Area/Region level.

  • Coordinate the budget process, collecting the inputs and compare the company’s actual performance against the budgeted targets
  • Perform analysis of commercial levers with evidence of possible gaps
  • Drive initiatives for commercial saving targets when necessary
  • Monitor operating cashflow drivers with specific focus on local levers (credit management, DSO, DPO, Stock)
  • Coordinate the cashflow budget and forecast process, collecting the inputs and compare the company’s actual performance against the budgeted/SAF targets
  • Oversee end to end the order to cash process supporting sales and trade marketing department accordingly with Group policies and enabling an effective customer contract administrative management
  • Oversee end to end the purchase to payment process supporting procurement department accordingly with Group policies and enabling an effective invoicing posting and payment execution
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and ensure compliance with any relevant reporting standards. Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of the auditor
  • Improve the quality of monthly results reporting and manage the overall financial reporting and measurement processes
  • Ensure proper funding (short and medium terms) and dividend flows management in coordination with Group Treasury
  • Manage positive assurance process and manage relationship with Corporate Audit
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile. Maintain appropriate internal financial controls and risk management processes across all operations
  • Work with direct reports to minimize risk throughout the business and report risk issues to the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure tax compliance on direct and indirect taxation matters and manage relationships and agreements with Tax Authorities
  • Promote local transformational initiatives/projects
  • Guarantee the implementation of Finance transformational projects under the guidance of central Finance departments
  • Support Governance, Risk & Compliance activities for the Region in alignment with the Group standards
  • Provide feedback to the team (local & central) to ensure continuous improvement
  • Build and manage the relationships with external advisors including audit partners, tax advisors, insurance brokers and lawyers

The successful candidate will be an experienced subject matter expert in ensuring a management system based on Group values, motivation, diversity & inclusion, competence development and empowerment. Required:

• Degree in Economics/Finance/Statistics
• Relevant experience in financial planning / controlling / administration
• Strong analytical skills and business knowledge to identify issues and provide potential solutions
• Advanced proficiency in SAP or other major ERP (finance modules), Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, HFM and Essbase
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills, exceptional communicator, strong critical thought process, ability to create new solutions
