We have a current opening for a Brand Manager, Baby Ruth & Butterfinger Special Projects and are actively reviewing applications.

As the Brand Manager, Baby Ruth & Butterfinger Special Projects you’ll bring together strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a natural sense of creativity to shape the future of our brands. You’ll lead a cross‑functional team, guiding innovation from idea to execution, and collaborate closely with creative agencies to develop world‑class marketing that reaches consumers across every touchpoint — from TV to in‑store experiences.

You’ll play a key role in defining the innovation strategy and will own the growth of new initiatives, managing them from concept through launch with excellence.

You will take full ownership of the Baby Ruth, Goobers, Chunky, and Oh Henry brands, while also contributing to special innovation projects for Butterfinger. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact across some of our most iconic brands while driving compelling, consumer‑focused brand experiences.

This role is hybrid, based in our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ.

Business and Brand Analysis, Monitoring and Reporting

    • In-depth market, competitive and brand analysis to assist in formulating brand strategy within a fast-moving consumer packaged goods category
    • Analyzes business and brand results to ensure strategies are working and objectives are being realized, recommending course correction where relevant
    • Maintains understanding of the competitive environment to assess impact on business
    • Prepares and creates engaging, meaningful and persuasive presentations
    • Owns and actively manages brand marketing budget

Product Management

    • Lead qualitative and quantitative market research briefing through to interpreting result and making recommendations for innovation and renovation
    • Leads innovation development with cross-functional team from concept to opportunity assessment through launch within our internal stage gate process
    • Partners with Finance to ensure profitability with innovation
    • Work closely with Category management and Trade Marketing to develop compelling sell-in stories/toolkits to ensure customer acceptance of innovation

Brand Equity and Communications Planning and Execution

    • Leads agency partners in creative development, asset development and execution of consumer and shopper activation
    • Ensures coherency across all consumer and shopper touchpoints to, drive cohesive and impactful messaging and trademark consistency in all communications
    • Participates in brand planning and overall communication planning with interagency team
    • Sets and tracks KPIs, offering recommendations for optimization of plans/assets

Leadership and self-management

    • Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
    • Inter-departmental engagement with Trade marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal to assist in the planning and execution of new initiatives
    • Able to efficiently manage relations with third party vendors (i.e.: graphic design agencies, research agencies, etc.), obtaining required output while minimizing costs
    • Comfortable with presenting in front of senior management
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree in Business is a plus
  • At least 5 years’ experience in consumer-packaged goods brand marketing
  • Interest and knowledge in the Brand Experience, Analytics and Communications (specifically, Campaign Management)
  • Consumer market curiosity to find opportunities beyond the day-to-day results delivery that will create the future growth of brands
  • Exposure to the basics of delivering marketing campaigns, and understands how to plan and execute a marketing or shopper campaign
  • Works with external agencies through multiple project lifecycles
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead internal and external partners in brand/business initiatives with proven results
  • Exposure and full understanding of the P&L drivers and drainers
  • Manages A&P, explains adjustments based on financial processes, reconciling POs, contracts and working with legal on SOWs and MSAs
  • Has led conversations on relevant projects in weekly meetings with cross functional teams while working autonomously to ensure on-time delivery
  • Demonstrates knowledge of relevant Consumer & Shopper insights
  • Exposure or ownership of forecasting demand from a particular product or brands/business
  • Creates impactful business presentations, crafts the story by using analytics, presents findings to leadership and answers any questions
  • Mastered knowledge of IRI/Nielson, resulting in an overall understanding of category analytics and the ability to craft the story telling for Sales and Innovation teams

The base salary range for this position is $118,661- $158,215 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.​
