Director, Business Planning & Strategy

The Director, Business Strategy & Planning plays a central role in shaping Ferrero North America’s business priorities and translating them into plans, decisions, and action. Reporting to the SVP of Strategy & Planning, this role works closely with North America leaders and global stakeholders on strategic planning, business performance, executive communications, and cross-functional initiatives. 

This is a highly collaborative and hands-on role. The Director will bring structure and insight to complex business questions while personally developing the presentations, written content, and analysis needed for senior leadership discussions. Success requires someone who can be a thought partner to executives, work effectively across functions, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-moving environment. 

• Drive the North America strategic planning process in alignment with global timelines, working across functions to shape priorities, synthesize inputs, develop recommendations, and deliver planning materials and presentations. 
• Help translate the strategic plan into action through leadership routines, clear milestones, performance measures, and follow-up on key decisions and commitments. 
• Develop executive presentations and written content for North America and global leadership forums, including town halls, business reviews, and presentations for the Chief Business Officer. Structure the story, write the content, and turn complex inputs into clear messages and recommendations. 
• Prepare for and support sensitive, high-visibility meetings with senior North America and global leaders, partnering with the SVP of Strategy & Planning to anticipate questions, align stakeholders, and ensure materials are ready for discussion and decision. 
• Develop and refine executive scorecards and reporting that provide a clear view of business performance, progress against priorities, and emerging risks or opportunities. 
• Analyze financial, commercial, market, and operational information to identify trends, evaluate gaps, and recommend actions. 
• Lead or support cross-functional strategic initiatives, helping teams define the work, manage milestones and dependencies, resolve issues, and deliver outcomes. 
• Identify and help implement process improvements that strengthen planning, decision-making, and execution across the business. 
• Bring relevant market, competitor, and industry insights into planning and leadership discussions. 

• A bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related field; an MBA or other relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred. 
• Experience in strategic planning, business strategy, business operations, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to move from analysis and recommendations to execution. Strategy consulting experience is strongly preferred. 
• Experience working with senior executives and across functions, ideally in a complex organization with global stakeholders. 
• Exceptional ability to structure ambiguous requests, build a compelling narrative, and personally develop polished executive presentations and written materials. 
• Strong analytical and commercial judgment, with the ability to interpret business and financial information and turn it into practical recommendations. 
• The ability to influence without direct authority, build trusted relationships, and navigate sensitive organizational dynamics with sound judgment and discretion. 
• Strong organization and project management skills, with the flexibility to manage competing priorities and respond to time-sensitive leadership needs. 

This role is based in Parsippany, NJ, and requires an on-site presence four to five days per week.

The base compensation range for this position is $182,000.00 - $250,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
