For our Ferrero Hungary business unit based in Budapest, we are currently looking for Out of Home and Traditional Trade Channel Development Manager to support the Customer and category development Manager (HUN) to whom report directly, in the design, definition and implementation of business development initiatives with focus on HoReCa, Leisure, Vending, Petrol Stations, Convenience and Traditional Trade channels, with the ultimate goal to ensure a sustainable business growth. The range of products includes both ingredients for food service professionals, single served ambient, frozen products and ice cream.
This role focuses on understanding the dynamics of Out of Home and Traditional Trade channels, analyzing trends and store formats to boost Ferrero’s distribution, visibility, and product rotation. You will be involved in assessing market players and identifying growth levers to successfully implement new categories and projects.
You will be involved in crafting tailored business development plans for ingredients, food service equipment, and industrial products, ensuring the right assortment per format and customer. Opportunities at channel and customer levels are unlocked through clear activation standards and targeted actions.
Collaboration with Sales will help shape and execute strategic channel plans, while alignment with Marketing ensures media and shopper initiatives support category growth. Working with the In-store Activation Team, the role supports impactful, compliant activations with a focus on continuous improvement.
Regular monitoring and reporting keep track of channel performance, uncovering new opportunities and sharing insights across the organization.
We are looking for a professional with 5-8 years of experience and outstanding track record in Out of Home (HoReCa) and Traditional Trade channel development, ideally gained in Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry, with expertise in Ice Cream or Beverages considered a significant advantage.
You are ambitious, bold, creative manager, who can lead projects from idea to implementation, structuring all necessary processes and uniting cross-functions. You bring an understanding of channel dynamics and the levers of category growth across sweet packaged food categories, including both ingredients and industrial products. You are comfortable navigating cross-functional organizational dynamics and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Your experience includes the successful definition and implementation of channel development strategies with proven results.
A background in sales/trade marketing is a must, in marketing is a plus, as it provides a broader business vision and strategic sensitivity. You combine good communication and coordination skills with a structured and analytical mindset. Fluency in English and Hungarian is required. Finally, you are open to occasional travel to support the Sales team in customer engagement.
