IT FI Accounting Architect
We have a current opening for an IT FI Accounting Architect and are actively reviewing applications.
We are looking for an IT FI Accounting Architect who will be part of IT Finance Center of Expertise Team located in Parsippany, NJ, US and will report to the IT COE Finance DC Americas which is part of the global IT Finance Platform.
• Design, develop, maintain and support S4/HANA FI Accounting applications (General Ledger, Account Payable, Account Receivable, Treasury, Asset Accounting) within SAP FI-GL / FI-AP / FI-AR / FI-TR technologies managing the application lifecycle from implementation through to retirement.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into comprehensive SAP FI solutions ensuring the integration with other SAP modules (such as CO, ML, MM, SD, PP, HCM, etc).
• Ensure IT applications align with Ferrero’s business strategy and IT Group model while maintaining high standards of quality in delivery.
• Provide third-level ticket support (tool IT Service Management ServiceNow), participate in situation room resolutions, collaborate with business users to address and resolve SAP functional and technical issues, and ensure timely communication and remediation.
• Participate and contribute in SAP rollout projects, upgrades, and enhancement activities and provide post-implementation support and user training.
• Engage in weekly alignment with other Finance CoE members across Europe and Asia.
• Offer technical expertise and guidance to internal and external resources (e.g., project team members), assign responsibilities, and collaborate with other IT CoE teams on cross-functional initiatives, projects, and run activities.
• Provide dedicated support during month-end and year-end closures.
• Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus, in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology.
• Demonstrated expertise in SAP and S4 HANA FI modules, with particular proficiency in SAP FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-TR.
• A minimum of 5–10 years’ experience with SAP ECC/HANA FI is required; completion of at least one full-cycle implementation is an asset.
• Experience with SAP FSCM, C4C, Tungsten/Kofax eFlow, Highradius modules/applications is highly regarded.
• Knowledge in SAP CO and Financial Planning (Oracle EPM) is considered a plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes is essential (this is mandatory for the USA/Canada, and advantageous in major South American countries)
• Familiarity with integration across SD, MM, PUR, and PP modules is expected.
• Skills in interface connection systems (EDI/IDocs and PI integration) and proficiency in ABAP debugging will be considered a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving oriented, along with a proactive approach, strong time management skills, and the capacity to meet deadlines
• Proven ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
• Skills such as communicating effectively with business stakeholders, negotiating requirements, and managing projects and change are greatly valued.
• Prior experience in international companies within FMCG or retail environments, particularly those with central headquarters or service company structures, is preferred.
• Additional language skills in Italian, Spanish, Portuguese will be considered as a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in preparing detailed documentation including functional specifications, test scripts, and training materials and proven training capabilities.

The base salary range for this position is $122,854 - 163,806. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
