We have a current opening for a Planner and are actively reviewing applications.

The Fannie May Planner is responsible for translating dynamic market demand, forecast changes, and business priorities into executable supply and production plans. This role manages a complex portfolio of more than 250 SKUs produced at a single manufacturing site and distributed through a network of industrial distribution centers, commercial distribution centers, and direct-to-store delivery channels. The Planner balances customer service requirements, inventory targets, production capacity constraints, labor availability, product freshness, and operational efficiency to ensure optimal supply chain performance.

Acting as a key integration point between Commercial, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams, the Planner develops integrated planning scenarios, proactively manages supply risks, and drives inventory optimization while ensuring service, cost, and waste reduction objectives are achieved.

Market-driven planning activities

•    Lead the development of consensus supply plans, balancing demand forecasts, inventory targets, service levels, and operational capabilities.
•    Translate forecast changes, promotional activities, seasonal demand, and portfolio strategy into actionable supply plans.
•    Identify and mitigate supply risks related to inventory health, freshness, capacity constraints, material availability, and service performance.
•    Drive cross-functional alignment to resolve supply challenges and support business priorities.
•    Manage planning activities for product launches, transitions, seasonal events, and end-of-life products.
•    Evaluate inventory exposure, obsolescence risks, and excess stock, recommending actions to optimize working capital and minimize write-offs.


Industrial Planning Activities

•    Convert demand requirements into optimized short- and long-term production plans.
•    Develop executable production schedules considering line capacity, changeovers, sanitation requirements, labor availability, and material supply.
•    Serve as the primary interface between Commercial and Manufacturing teams, ensuring customer requirements are translated into realistic production plans.
•    Optimize production sequencing and resource utilization to improve plant performance while maintaining service and inventory targets.
•    Identify capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and operational improvement opportunities.
•    Develop contingency plans to address demand variability, supply disruptions, labor shortages, and equipment downtime.

Supply Chain and Inventory Management

•    Manage and optimize ambient and frozen inventory flows across a multi-location supply network.
•    Ensure target service levels, fill rates, inventory coverage, and freshness objectives are achieved.
•    Apply inventory management and warehousing best practices to minimize waste and inventory losses.
•    Collaborate with deployment teams to manage inventory positioning, freshness risks, and distribution strategies across plants and DCs.
•    Investigate root causes of order cuts and drive corrective actions.
•    Minimize finished and semi-finished goods destruction, excess inventory, and write-offs.

Strategic Planning & Performance Management

•    Analyze historical trends and business drivers to establish planning parameters and assumptions for future fiscal periods.
•    Review and maintain Monthly Operating Targets in alignment with business objectives.
•    Develop seasonal inventory and supply strategies to support customer demand requirements.
•    Monitor and report key KPIs, including Case Fill Rate, Service Level, Freshness, Inventory Coverage, and Waste.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement new ways of working to enhance planning effectiveness and supply chain performance.

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
•    Experience working as Production, Demand or Supply Planner in similar business and/or in complex environments (import, export, multiple repacking sites and multiple plants and DC’s network)
•    Experience managing multi-site networks, including plants, DCs, co-packers, and repackers.
•    Knowledge of import/export and overseas challenges (lead times/customs/ transportation requirements etc)
•    Experience in CPG industry is preferred
•    Advanced analytical and Microsoft Office skills
•    Experience with SAP / APO systems or similar planning system is preferred.
•    Knowledge of Kinaxis or other advanced planning systems is a plus.

The base compensation range for this position is $77,305 - $100,406. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
