Health & Safety Officer
As a Health & Safety Officer at Ferrero, you will play a key role in supporting all site activities in relation to Health & Safety. You will provide expert advice across the production plant, supporting the prevention, tracking and mitigation of Health & Safety incidents, and liaising with insurers where required.
You will ensure robust processes are in place for identifying, monitoring and managing risk, alongside creating, reviewing and updating Health & Safety policies, procedures and documentation in line with legal, regional and Group requirements
In the Health & Safety Officer role, you will ensure that health and safety risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated on site. You will also support H&S objectives in accordance with Regional guidelines and key stakeholders.
You will maintain and regularly update the overview of the Health and Safety regulations applicable in the site. You will assist incident investigations to determine true root causes and define appropriate action plans.
In this role, you will monitor and verify adherence to work safety standards and procedures as well as implementation of all corrective actions identified during audits, inspections, risk assessments, etc.
Your experience will allow you to report regularly on metrics, status, issues, incidents to Region H&S.
Beyond this, you will contribute to the development of and ensure the implementation of the H&S Regional Strategic long term Plan in full alignment with group Strategic Plan.
Finally, this role involves working to support all stakeholders to maintain full compliance with regulatory and region requirements, including preparation and filing of required documentation and raising PO’s in SAP when required.
You will bring a Higher Diploma (Level 7 or 8), a Degree qualification, or equivalent professional qualification and experience in Health & Safety. You will be a Chartered Member of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) or hold an equivalent recognised certification.
You adopt a hands-on and proactive approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You are comfortable delivering Health & Safety training to colleagues at all levels, supported by strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective influencing and stakeholder-management capabilities.
