This role involves managing the expeditious flow of product and services into and out of the Somerset, NJ production location and appropriate dealings with vendors, warehouses, and local departments.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support both standard inventory and new product needs
• Prepare and issue RFQ’s, review supplier pricing, and monitor costs
• Create and manage purchase orders for packaging and services in SAP to ensure timely supply for production
• Coordinate with suppliers and the warehouse team to ensure on time delivery of products and services
• Confirm order accuracy and verify that deliveries align with purchase orders
• Communicate timelines and critical updates to internal teams
• Partner with planning teams regarding forecast changes
• Work with AP, suppliers, and warehouse team to resolve invoicing and goods receipt discrepancies
• Coordinate the creation of new vendors as well as updating existing vendor information
• Coordinate on time delivery of artwork to suppliers, working with graphic chain, and marketing and ensuring internal information is accurate
• Work with local Quality department to address material defects with suppliers and resolve packaging issues
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Business or related field of study
• Strong understanding of purchasing and supply chain processes
• 2 – 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Proven analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision making
• Experience managing multiple suppliers in a fast-paced environment
• Working knowledge of procurement or ERP software, SAP experience highly preferred
• Strong communication, problem solving, and interdepartmental collaboration
• Proficiency in Excel
The base salary range for this position is $74,000- $99,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
