Area DP Hub Analyst Region
For our Area APAC-MEA Demand Planning Hub, we are currently looking for a Demand Planning Hub Region Analyst, based in Pune (India), who will report professionally to the Area Demand Planning Hub Region Manager. This role will work on statistical forecasting and adherence to group process of demand planning for a region.
The incumbent will represent the center of statistical expertise for the Region, equipping the key stakeholders with the capabilities required to deploy the Group Template ensuring understanding of region context and business environment. Furthermore, incumbent will be developing expertise on key drivers and variables impacting the model’s development by category and type of customer unit, sharing best practices across Regions/Countries. The incumbent is required to develop statistical baselines for regions/markets, ensuring transparency in the way the baseline has been created and perform forecast cleansing, in collaboration with markets.
Moreover, incumbent will monitor performance and KPIs, ensuring they align smoothly with the Global Centre of Excellence. This role supports defining and cascading related KPIs to regions and serves as the primary contact for demand expertise on monitoring, control, and root cause analysis at the region level
STATISTICAL FORECAST SETUP
- Interacts and leverages the Area Demand Planning Hub Statistical Model expert to ensure consistency of the statistical forecast set-up within the area; with Area DP HUB Manager’s guidance and in consultation with Global DP COE
- Defines the data source and categories segmentation; in close collaboration with Area DP HUB Manager
- Defines best statistical model by product category and type of customer reference; by utilizing the Global Process of Demand Classification in the system
UPLIFT DEVELOPMENT and DEMAND CONSOLIDATION
- Supports markets / regions to analyze impacts of enrichments from the baseline; including commercial levers
- Manages demand consolidation and consistency checks at Area Level (by building blocks / levers)
BASELINE DEFINITION
- Collects of historical and forecast data from sales and marketing (quantities, revenues, prices)
- Performs forecast cleansing, in collaboration with markets
- Manages the aggregation of sales and marketing data on common framework (Product view, SKU by week -short term- and brand by month –mid term-, qty, rev)
- Consistently interacts with region demand planners (and related sales and marketing references) in order to provide support from a data analysis and statistical modelling standpoint and getting updates
- Uses the conclusion to adjust the demand plan baseline accordingly
- Inputs demand in BY relevant planning tool ad ensures data consistency
- Develops statistical baselines for Regions/markets
EDUCATION
Graduate / Post Graduate (preferably in Operations or Supply Chain) from Tier 1/ Tier 2 institutes (IIM, IIT SOM, SP Jain, NITIE, Symbiosis)
Certificate in demand planning, statistics, data analytics desirable
Advance analytics exposure to AI and Machine learning methods for forecasting is added advantage
SPECIFIC KNOWLEGE
- Overall 4 + years of experience in supply chain domain
- 2+ years of core demand planning experience driving statistical forecasting with stakeholder consesus
- 2+ years Hands-on working on forecasting tools preferably Blue Yonder or similar (SAS, Kinaxis, O9 etc).
- Experience in deployment of demand forecasting tool is a significant advantage
- Overall understanding of one or more of supply chain functions like S&OP, warehousing & Logistics, manufacturing
- Proficiency in MS office tools such as Excel , Power point, Power BI
- Sound knowledge of SAP is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Well-organized and high level of attention to detail.
