As Marketing Director, Tic Tac Canada (11 month contract) you will lead the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives to drive brand growth, protect market share leadership, and achieve P&L targets. Reporting to the Area Marketing Manager NAM and Managing Director Canada, you’ll define brand positioning and lead cross-functional strategies across portfolio management, media, promotions, and innovation. This role oversees budget planning and execution for advertising, promotions, and research, ensuring financial discipline and ROI. You’ll also manage a high-performing team, collaborate with global partners, and deliver impactful consumer experiences in the Canadian market.
This position is hybrid, and will be based out of Ferrero's Canadian Commercial offices in North York.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
• Lead strategic planning with market insights, sales forecasts, and budget alignment.
• Manage A&P investments to maximize ROI.
• Collaborate globally to drive innovation and long-term brand strategy.
Portfolio & Product Strategy
• Define competitive brand positioning through market analysis.
• Lead innovation and NPD execution from concept to launch.
• Optimize pricing, product mix, and portfolio performance.
Media & Communications
• Co-develop creative campaigns with agencies and global teams.
• Own media strategy, planning, and performance tracking.
• Ensure advertising compliance with legal standards.
Promotions & Trade Marketing
• Adapt global promotions to local market needs.
• Lead promotional material development and packaging updates.
• Monitor campaign effectiveness and ensure legal documentation.
Business Performance & Analytics
• Analyze sales, consumer KPIs, and market share to guide strategy.
• Support short- and long-term sales forecasting (S&OP).
• Review P&L to identify risks and recommend actions.
Consumer & Market Research
• Align with global teams on strategic research and insights.
• Execute local studies on pricing, packaging, and assortment.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead the Tic Tac Canada team and support BU leadership.
• Recruit, coach, and develop talent aligned with company values.
• Drive performance management and career growth.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years’ leadership experience in consumer-packaged goods brand marketing, managing comparable brands.
• Proven success in senior marketing roles, with strong expertise in brand equity building, communication, and managing creative/media agencies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Skilled in using syndicated databases (e.g., Nielsen) for market insights.
• Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and delivering results on schedule.
• Proficient in budget, P&L, and sales forecasting management.
• Deep understanding of food, drug, mass, club, and e-commerce trade channels.
• Experience in global/upstream marketing and working within global business units is essential
• Previous experience in developing product innovation
• High degree of independence and accountability in managing brand strategies and operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
