We have a current opening for a Junior Project Engineer - Industrial Graduate Program and are actively reviewing applications.

The Industrial Graduate Program offers a comprehensive 4-year journey, which will prepare you for a career with Ferrero through mentorship, technical on-the-job training, as well as a supplementary training curriculum to support your development. This program embodies the Learning by Doing spirit of Ferrero, and will introduce you to the industrial setting, learning the “Ferrero Way” and exploring industrial career path opportunities.

This 4-year program will include the first 2 years in the Home location and the Second 2 years in a different plant with Ferrero North America to expand your breadth of experience with the company and in Manufacturing. Ferrero’s Augusta  bakery, home to iconic brands like Keebler® Famous Amos®, and Murray Sugar Free® is looking for a Jr. Project Engineer to join our team! 

As a Jr. Project Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering team supporting the execution of investment projects from concept to design, execution, commissioning and start-up. In close collaboration with the Engineering team, you will support plant scheduling, people safety, food safety, budget control, quality control and constructability.

  • Develop simple drawings and sketches using AutoCAD 2D - 3D, and technical specifications as part of feasibility studies
  • Prepare tender packages and participate in the tender phase for the selection of external suppliers
  • Liaise with and monitor external contractor activities (i.e. engineering companies, machines providers, general contractors, etc.)
  • Monitor project costs and time schedule
  • Develop template and tools for project portfolio management
  • Support construction management and daily tasks such as contractor training, SPA management and quality oversight
  • Attend project review meetings and plant/project update review meetings
  • Manage project punch lists
  • Manage asset disposals
  • Create centerlines and procedures for new equipment
  • Recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in the last 12 months
    • Mechanical, industrial, automation, mechatronics engineering education or other engineering stream
  • Capable of collaborating in a team setting and efficiently managing workload priorities
  • Curious and proactive, ready to ask questions, reaching out for assistance, and locating the necessary information or solutions.
  • Prior exposure or experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered an asset
