We have a current opening for an FSQ Chemistry Analyst and are actively reviewing applications.

The FSQ Chemistry Analyst is a key functional position in Ferrero Quality Organization responsible for chemical, physical, and sensorial evaluation of finished product, in-process products, packaging, and raw material samples. 

The person in this role will execute the factory’s Chemical and Physical monitoring program for finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials. They will work in close coordination with the Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure all materials at inbound, in process, and Finished Products are compliant with Ferrero Food Safety and Quality Standards.

•    Under the guidance of the Laboratory and Incoming Manager, this position will work to ensure that all chemical-physical methods meet Ferrero and analyte method requirements.  
•    Responsible for Chemical/Physical and Packaging laboratory operation such as Good Laboratory Practices, Laboratory safety, method compliance, Ferrero group requirements including but not limited to instrument calibrations, method improvement, non-conformance management, and continuous improvements .
•    Manage sample submissions for internal and external testing, results reporting, and out of specification notifications
•    Maintain internal control protocols by record keeping, troubleshooting, and escalating issues.
•    Perform chemical-physical testing in the laboratory and work to develop new methods for in-house testing. 
•    Provide support to the facility to facilitate the implementation, maintenance, and audit of good manufacturing practices (GMP).   
•    Actively support and participate in facility’s Total Quality effort, including Quality Policy and factory objectives.
•    Provide support to the facility’s continuous improvement program. Continuously strive to improve customer/supplier relationships and business processes.
•    Lead and facilitate a safe laboratory environment by adhering to all PPE requirements as required in active chemical SDS, Good Laboratory Practices, Ferrero Group guidelines, and OSHA where required.
•    Assure any activities performed with an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished according to the environmental management system. Work closely with Environmental Manager to support facilitation of hazardous waste management.

•    B.S. Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or other Science Based Degree. 
•    Advanced knowledge of chemical-physical lab procedures.
•    Ability to conduct and interpret QC analyses for raw materials, in‑process, and finished products, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
•    Understanding of OOS escalation processes and corrective/preventive action fundamentals.
•    Ability to operate laboratory analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, NIR, titrators, pH meters, balances, ovens, muffle furnaces, and related equipment. 
•    Understanding of chemical properties, reactions, safety profiles, and transformation processes. 
•    Ability to prepare reagents, solutions, and standards and perform method troubleshooting.
•    Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
•    Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP/HARPC strongly preferred.
•    Understanding of hazardous waste handling, chemical hygiene requirements, and safe lab operations.
•    1-3 years progressive experience in a Chemical laboratory Environment (unless education and practice in university are higher than the minimum required above).
•    Food manufacturing experience highly preferred.
•    Microbiology experience is an asset.
•    Experience with SAP QM Module is an asset.

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
