Food Safety & Quality Responsible
For our Plant in Pozzuolo Martesana (MI), we are currently looking for a Food Safety & Quality Responsible. In this role, you will define and implement rules and best practices for local use, in line with the guidelines provided by the Food Safety & Quality Group (FSQ) and relevant external organizations. You will oversee sanitation, GMP, HACCP and pest control activities to ensure appropriate sanitary conditions across the working environment. You will also organize and supervise internal and external monitoring activities, ensuring the correct application of related procedures and working instructions.
As Food Safety & Quality Responsible, you will ensure the preparation and maintenance of all quality-related certifications, including Group certifications, certifications required by clients and certifications requested by local authorities. You will guarantee the planning and execution of internal audits, as well as the management of follow-up activities related to both Group Quality and the Plant, including warehouses. You will monitor process indicators and oversee central data collection related to quality, certifications and management systems, while tracking KPIs and reporting action plan progress to the Plant Manager, the Plant Team and Central Functions. You will also prepare Management Reviews, create and maintain the Quality Manual, plant procedures and working instructions, and manage Plant quality documentation.
Part of your responsibilities will be to oversee, from a quality perspective, all external companies impacting the Plant Quality System, including pest control, cleaning and calibration activities. You will elaborate and update HACCP plans through risk analysis methodologies, coordinate the HACCP team and take responsibility for training activities related to Food Safety, GMP in production and pre-purchase activities. You will define the rules required to guarantee product traceability in line with Group Food Safety and Quality guidelines and external requirements, take responsibility for traceability within the Plant and ensure the execution of related simulations. You will coordinate root cause analyses for non-conformities and related CAPAs to support continuous improvement, guarantee Pest Management and Control in line with Group requirements and internal specifications, and ensure Cleaning Validation activities while supporting the Plant in cleaning monitoring.
You will bring a Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering or a related scientific discipline, together with a your previous experience in the food industry, preferably in Quality, Food Safety or Food Technology roles. You have experience conducting internal audits and supporting third-party certification audits, combined with a strong understanding of quality management systems, food safety standards and manufacturing processes.
You are fluent in Italian and English and have demonstrated your ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities. You combine a results-oriented mindset with the ability to perform under pressure and are willing to travel frequently, with openness to geographical mobility, including international assignments, as part of future career development opportunities. The role is classified at Level 1° under the National Collective Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Industria Alimentare). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is €43.249. The compensation package also includes an annual variable component with a target of up to 5% of base salary. The overall compensation will be determined based on the experience, skills, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
