Indirect Procurement Buyer - Marketing & Commercial
Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for Marketing and Commercial procurement? We're looking for an Indirect Procurement Buyer – Marketing & Commercial to lead the sourcing and management of key indirect spend categories across the UK & Ireland. Partnering closely with our Marketing, Sales and Commercial teams, you'll take ownership of categories including media, creative and digital agencies, point of sale (POS), promotional materials, market research, professional services and other commercial spend, helping to deliver value, innovation and strong supplier partnerships.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate best-in-class supplier agreements and translate Global Procurement strategies into local execution. As a trusted business partner, you'll ensure governance, commercial value and continuous improvement remain at the heart of every procurement decision.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence how Ferrero invests across its Marketing and Commercial functions, helping to maximise value, support business growth and contribute to the success of some of the UK's most iconic brands, while also providing support across wider indirect procurement categories where required.
You'll own a portfolio of indirect procurement categories, with a particular emphasis on supporting Marketing, Sales and Commercial functions. Working alongside internal stakeholders, you'll develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, innovation and supplier capability, ensuring procurement delivers real commercial value.
You'll lead end-to-end sourcing activities, from understanding business requirements and developing tender documentation through to supplier selection, commercial negotiations and contract award. Whether supporting a creative agency review, sourcing promotional materials, managing media spend or procuring professional services, you'll ensure every procurement project is delivered efficiently and in line with Group Procurement standards.
Building strong supplier partnerships will be a key part of the role. You'll manage supplier performance through regular reviews, service level agreements and performance scorecards, identifying opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and cost optimisation whilst proactively managing risk.
You'll also collaborate closely with Finance, Legal and Global Procurement teams to ensure robust contract governance, compliance with procurement policies and accurate purchase order management. Supporting supplier onboarding, resolving invoice and claims queries and maintaining SAP procurement data will also form part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
We're looking for someone with proven experience in indirect procurement, ideally with responsibility for Marketing, Sales or Commercial categories. You'll have successfully managed sourcing projects across areas such as creative agencies, media buying, marketing services, POS materials, print, promotional merchandise, events, market research, professional services or similar indirect spend categories.
You'll have strong commercial negotiation skills and experience managing tenders from end to end, together with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and other business functions. You're comfortable challenging constructively, influencing decision-making and balancing commercial priorities with procurement best practice.
Experience using SAP and strong analytical skills, particularly within Excel and PowerPoint, will enable you to interpret spend data, identify opportunities and present clear commercial recommendations. Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier relationship management and contract management will also be important.
Above all, you'll be a proactive, collaborative and commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You'll thrive on building partnerships, delivering measurable value and supporting the continued growth of Ferrero's iconic brands.
