Customer Category Manager - JS & Waitrose
Ferrero is looking for a Customer Category Manager to act as a trusted category partner to our customers while playing a key role across the wider Customer Category, Trade Marketing and Sales teams.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven and insight-led Category professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, influencing category growth strategies and turning shopper and market insight into impactful customer recommendations. You will help shape category direction through strategic collaboration, supporting the growth of both Ferrero brands and the wider category within customer accounts.
Working closely with Sales, Trade Marketing and Customers, you will support the delivery of distribution and share of shelf growth, influence category and merchandising strategies, and help create compelling sell-in stories for innovation and range development. You will also support category reviews, strategic customer conversations and the development of category-focused growth opportunities across key channels and customers.
You will analyse category, shopper and market performance to identify trends, opportunities and risks across customers and categories, using insight to support strategic recommendations and drive category growth. Working closely with internal teams and insight agencies, you will help deliver meaningful customer-focused category insight and reporting, ensuring recommendations are supported by strong data interpretation and clear commercial storytelling.
The role will support customer range reviews, distribution opportunities and category sell-in activities, helping to influence ranging decisions, innovation strategies and merchandising principles across key customers. You will also partner closely with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to build compelling category stories that support growth, customer engagement and stronger execution within store environments.
Alongside customer-facing activity, you will build strong internal and external relationships, acting as a trusted category contact across cross-functional teams and customer accounts. You will play an active role in driving collaboration, sharing insight and supporting the delivery of Ferrero’s wider category and commercial objectives.
You will bring experience within Category Management, Trade Marketing or Commercial Insight, ideally within a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will have strong analytical capability and be confident using shopper, market and category data to develop clear recommendations and commercially impactful customer stories.
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across Sales, Trade Marketing, Agencies and Customer teams. You will be comfortable operating within a dynamic commercial environment and demonstrate curiosity, resilience and a proactive mindset.
Experience using insight platforms such as Nielsen, Kantar or Dunnhumby would be advantageous, alongside strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and the ability to communicate insight in a clear, engaging and customer-focused way.
