We have a current opening for a Trade Business Intelligence Analyst and are actively reviewing applications.

As a Trade Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in turning data into actionable insights that drive commercial success. You will develop and maintain reporting and dashboards that enable smarter decision-making across Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management, and Brand teams.

You will track performance against targets, monitor key KPIs, and evaluate innovation performance to uncover opportunities for growth. Partnering closely with Sales and Trade Marketing, you will translate business needs into scalable, data-driven reporting solutions that support strategic priorities.

You will continuously enhance workflows through automation and AI, improving efficiency and enabling faster insights. By analyzing category trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behavior, you will help shape commercial strategies and deliver recommendations that move the business forward.

This position is hybrid, and will be based in our North American HQ in Parsippany, NJ.

  • Produce and maintain business performance reports, including Tentpole, seasonal, and regular monthly reporting cycles.
  • Build and maintain an Innovation Tracker to monitor new item performance, providing Trade Marketing and Marketing teams with timely and actionable evaluation of innovation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing, Category Management, Brand, and Channel teams to define annual KPIs; maintain and track KPI performance by brand and channel.
  • Partner with Trade Marketing and Sales to gather and translate commercial data requirements — spanning Sell-In, Sell-Out, syndicated, customer, and in-store execution data — into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product hierarchies and manage custom product attributes consistently across data sources.
  • Assess and optimize existing report workflows to improve efficiency; automate Excel-based reports to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards that deliver actionable insights across Sales, Trade Marketing, Category Management, and Brand teams.
  • Monitor and analyze category, competitive, and consumer market data to identify business opportunities and inform category development strategies.
  • Analyze commercial data to uncover trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities; translate findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations, leveraging AI tools to enhance analytical output.
  • Manage data vendor contracts, track budgets, and maintain PO records.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience required; CPG Foods experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing required; MBA a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills including complex formula writing and report automation.
  • Hands-on Power BI expertise including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query
  • Proficiency with syndicated data platforms (Circana/NielsenIQ); experience pulling data from retailer platforms such as Walmart Luminate and 84.51.
  • Financial acumen with working knowledge of revenue and trade management
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively, challenge conventional approaches, and deliver solutions effectively.
  • Product mindset with the ability to understand end-user needs and design intuitive, user-friendly reports and data products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • 10% travel required for customer meetings and industry events.

The base salary range for this position is $116,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
