Senior Category Manager

As a Senior Category Manager, you will significantly contribute to growing market share and competitive positioning of our brands. You will be developing strategies for Brands by developing and implementing ideas and projects. You will aim high and achieve goals together with your team.
STRATEGY:
• Providing insights to define brand targets, sales mix, net sales, gross margin and marketing contribution as well as volumes and sales value budget. Participating in preparing key strategic plans, defining volumes, P&L and marketing plans.
• Managing advertising, promotion, research and market analysis costs
• Giving direction on positioning in comparison with competitors’ actions, understanding consumers insights and trends
• Verifying price lists and evaluating the right product mix• Provide insights to define new product development (NPD) strategy development
• Driving innovation through new product and strategy development
MARKETING PLANS:
• In coordination with the Regional teams, developing the advertising strategy and managing creative and media agencies
• Shaping and implementing the activity Grid in the planned timing and with excellence in execution.
• Monitoring the outputs related to the brand plans and participating in the definition of the promotion strategy
• Supervising material development activities (e.g. execution of packaging development, new packaging / labeling projects, in store communications and POSM development)
• Conventional and digital media mix planning and follow-up
RESEARCH & EXPERIMENTATION:
• Analyzing results and data from the market and tests, calculating KPIs and proposing actions
• Participating in proposal, implementation (e.g. briefs) and follow-up of strategic and operational improvement projects
TEAM MANAGEMENT:
• Recruiting, managing, motivating, coaching and developing your own team
COLLABORATION WITH:
Sales Force, Trade Marketing, Demand Planning, Head of Media Planning, Region Marketing Manager Category, Research Team and NAF General Manager
- Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or Marketing
- 7-8 years of experience in Marketing
- Expertise in FMCG and Brand Marketing, with a strong focus on Strategic and Operational Marketing
- Curious and understanding of different markets and cultures
- Excellent in using Retail and Consumer database, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluent in French, Arabic & English;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
