Raw Material & Pack Procurement Manager
We are looking for a Raw & Packaging Materials Procurement Manager to join our UK&I Procurement team in Alfreton. Reporting to the Head of Procurement for the Region, this role is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of procurement activities for all raw and packaging materials. Acting as the key focal point for procurement topics within the Region, you will ensure full alignment with Group standards while supporting the definition and implementation of procurement strategies.
You will contribute to annual budget processes, collaborate on procurement projects, engage in supplier scouting and negotiations, and support the development of strong, compliant supplier relationships across both centrally and locally managed categories. The role also plays a key part in ensuring smooth information flow between central and local procurement functions and maintaining alignment with regional stakeholders on procurement performance, priorities, and project progress.
In this role, you will support the Procurement Category Managers and the Region Procurement Manager in defining and implementing procurement strategies and monitoring risks across the Region. You will contribute to category implementation, help define annual budgets and project plans, and ensure adherence to Group guidelines for both centrally and locally managed items. You will support or lead supplier scouting and negotiations, depending on the category ownership, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and the Ferrero Code of Business Conduct.
You will oversee purchasing activities including price lists, quote allocation, product availability, supplier performance monitoring, and vendor management. This includes supporting purchase order processes, supervising offer evaluations to identify the best alternatives, and collaborating with internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain when needed. Additionally, you will contribute to supplier performance reviews for centrally managed suppliers and lead periodic evaluations for those managed locally, ensuring productive and stable relationships.
The role also involves managing supplier service levels, supporting the exchange of information between central and local procurement teams, contributing to knowledge development of suppliers in the Region, and assisting in the identification and delivery of procurement project pipelines. You will also be consulted on procurement elements of M&A activities and will ensure regular alignment with regional stakeholders, including presenting procurement performance, project updates, and key priorities. Finally, you will work closely with the Region Procurement Manager and Global Category Managers to support process optimisation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across all procurement activities.
You will bring a strong educational foundation, ideally with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. You have built solid capability within Procurement, whether through central or local procurement roles, and you bring knowledge of raw and/or packaging materials categories or the motivation to develop quickly in this area.
You are an effective communicator and negotiator who can build strong, trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You combine analytical strength with sound problem-solving skills, and you are comfortable working in environments that require resilience, adaptability and clear decision-making. A strategic mindset, together with the ability to coach and support others, will enable you to contribute to both operational and long-term objectives.
You approach challenges with professionalism, integrity and a results-oriented attitude, consistently aligning your work with the company’s ethical standards and values. You thrive under pressure, navigate conflict constructively and remain confident when dealing with ambiguity.
Strong IT capability is essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with SAP systems (ECC and/or Ariba) is an advantage. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and additional languages are considered an asset.
