We have a current opening for a National Account Manager, Target and are actively reviewing applications.

The National Account Manager, Target, will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing a comprehensive retail sales strategy that delivers sustainable sales and profit growth across Ferrero’s existing and emerging portfolio. 

This role serves as the primary owner of the business relationship, strategy, and execution with Target’s Department 212 Spreads, D71 Cookies and D270 Frozen Breakfast Buyers, ensuring alignment with cross-functional partners to drive customer and Ferrero business priorities. 

The position reports to the Target Team Director and collaborates closely with Target Team colleagues as well as cross-functional partners in Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, etc. to ensure accurate forecasting, executional excellence, and long-term strategic growth.

This role is field-based with candidates ideally located in Minneapolis, MN.

  • Responsible for all aspects of Account Management with Target on Ferrero Cookies (Nutella, Kinderini, Mother’s, Famous Amos and Keebler) and Nutella portfolio
  • Lead all sales calls, business/line reviews, JBPs and develop presentations to effectively drive initiatives for Target category and Ferrero
  • Own relationship with Target category buyer and execute formalized, value-added engagement plan with established feedback loop to act on customer input
  • Develop customer specific plans working collaboratively with Trade Marketing, Category Management, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Identify medium and long-term business opportunities at Target
  • Align customer initiatives to Ferrero strategic enablers to drive a meaningful JBP process
  • Achieve KPI’s to contribute to total Target’s KPI attainment
  • Use trade judiciously to drive demand at Target while staying within the given budget rate
  • Develop accurate SKU-level base and promotional forecasts
  • Manage customer payments/ deduction process
  • At least 5-7 years of Sales, Account Management, Merchandising, and/or Category Management experience is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build a successful career with a growing global company
  • Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary stakeholders
  • Strategic and proactive thinking to develop sales strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising achievements to close gaps and increase sales
  • Strong data analytic skills to monitor, track and proactively address customer performance as well as understand contribution of Target team with respect to volume, assortment, seasonal performance and distribution, report, and track accounts as a contribution to the Target team
  • Effective story telling competencies to present key insights in front of internal and external stakeholders

The base compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $145,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
