We are currently looking for an experienced candidate for a position as Health & Safety Specialist in our plant in Pozzuolo Martesana, Italy.

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will ensure that working conditions comply with all relevant legal requirements and internal standards. This includes keeping risk assessments up to date, completing training plans, managing contractors, handling incidents, and defining and monitoring action plans. You will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all necessary health and safety documentation for external agencies, firms, and government bodies.

You will oversee periodic reporting on health and safety KPIs and support various departments by ensuring the consistent application and control of procedures and corporate policies. Your role will also involve advising on the interpretation and implementation of mandatory health and safety laws, offering technical expertise where needed.

Through regular audits and inspections, you will monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement. You will receive guidelines from both Group and Country levels and will be expected to promote the revision and updating of local operational instructions and procedures in key areas such as Lo.To.To, traffic management, change management, and confined spaces.

You will lead training and coaching initiatives on health and safety topics, and actively contribute to the integration of health and safety within LEAN manufacturing practices, including KPIs, Gemba Walks, SOPs, OPLs, RCA, Safety Maps, PPE Matrices, KK, and SMED. Additionally, you will help organize and implement communication campaigns and wellbeing activities, such as Safety Days.

Finally, you will be responsible for creating and updating procedures within the Health and Safety Management System, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with best practices.

You hold a degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, and you bring at least 3 to 5 years of experience in Health & Safety, ideally within a manufacturing environment—experience in FMCG is considered a strong asset. You approach challenges with energy and initiative, and you thrive in high-pressure situations, even when they involve confidential or sensitive matters.

Your interpersonal and project management skills are excellent, and you consistently uphold high standards in both customer service and work quality. You enjoy collaborating with others and communicate effectively across teams and functions.

You possess the required ASPP and RSPP certifications, and you’re open to international mobility. You’re proficient in MS Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms, and Power BI. Fluency in both English and Italian is essential for this role.
