Food Trend Intern
The Food Trends Intern will support research into emerging food, health, and consumer trends across Asia Pacific. The role focuses on trends relevant to sweet packaged foods, including chocolate, biscuits, confectionery, desserts, ice cream, and other sweet snacks. Working with the Food Trends team, the intern will transform research and market signals into clear, business-relevant insights and compelling PowerPoint presentations.
Internship is offered for up to 4 months, full-time, with the possibility of a hybrid working arrangement.
Application period: October 2 to 25th, 2026
- Research and analyse emerging food, health, and consumer trends across Asia Pacific markets
- Translate complex information into clear insights, explaining what is changing, why it matters, and the potential implications for the sweet packaged food industry
- Conduct competitive and category scans covering products, claims, ingredients, formats, packaging communication, pricing, and positioning
- Monitor macro trends shaping the industry and identify both market-specific nuances and broader regional implications
- Maintain well-organised source records, including links, dates, key findings, market context, and assessments of source credibility
- Develop structured PowerPoint presentations with clear storylines, relevant visuals, charts, tables, and actionable conclusions
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a diploma or degree in Nutrition, Food Science, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Strong desk-research skills and judgement on source credibility
- Clear, concise writing; able to summarise without losing the point
- Excellent PowerPoint skills (clean layout, storytelling)
- Interest in food, nutrition, consumer behaviour for the sweet packaged food space
