Data & AI Value Engineer - Operations Processes
For our Headquarters in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Data & AI Value Engineer for Operations Process to join our Data & AI team within the IT department, reporting directly to the Data & AI Business Value Delivery Manager.
The Value Engineer (VE) is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of business process expertise and Data & AI capability. VEs are assigned to one of six process groups. We are currently searching to cover the Industrial & Operations processes. The role is empowered to identify, design and deliver process improvements through the application of AI solutions to create measurable business value.
You will work closely with process owners, data and data science teams, IT platforms and technology partners to move from problem identification through to deployed solution, business adoption and value tracking.
In this role, you will play a key part in transforming how our business operates by leveraging Data & AI to drive measurable value.
In terms of process understanding and opportunity identification, you will start by building a deep understanding of end-to-end processes within your assigned domain: Operations Processes. You will map current ways of working, identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and uncover high-value opportunities for improvement. Through stakeholder interactions and data-driven diagnostics, you will develop strong business cases for change. Working closely with business stakeholders and IT platform partners, you will contribute to shaping a clear and prioritized roadmap of Data & AI initiatives, ensuring they align strategic objectives, feasibility, and value potential.
In relation to Data & AI solution design, you will translate business challenges into actionable solutions by working closely with technical teams to scope and co-design use cases. You will turn business needs into clear requirements and select the most appropriate approach, leveraging tools such as process mining, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, optimization techniques, and GenAI. Throughout the discovery, build, and pilot phases, you will collaborate with business owners, IT project managers, and technical partners to ensure continuous alignment, while defining and implementing value-driven KPIs, particularly for LLM-based initiatives.
When it comes to deployment and adoption, you will ensure that solutions are not only delivered but successfully embedded into the business. You will lead change management activities and support stakeholder enablement, creating training materials, communication plans, and processing documentation to facilitate adoption. You will closely monitor usage and engagement, acting where needed to ensure that solutions achieve their intended impact.
Finally, regarding performance measurement and reporting, you will be responsible for tracking and communicating the value delivered. You will define and monitor key performance indicators to assess efficiency gains, cost savings, and adoption levels. You will provide regular updates to leadership on the pipeline, ongoing initiatives, and realized value, while also capturing key learnings to continuously improve future delivery cycles.
You bring an educational background in Engineering, Business, Data, or a related field, along with 10-15 years of experience in roles with meaningful exposure to Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing processes within Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing organizational contexts. Throughout your career, you have successfully driven process improvement, digital transformation, or data-driven initiatives, consistently delivering measurable business outcomes.
You combine solid data literacy with a strong understanding of advanced analytics and AI from a business value perspective. You are comfortable working with and interpreting data, and you understand concepts such as database design, semantic models, and master data. Your knowledge extends to technical architecture and cloud environments, particularly Azure, allowing you to effectively collaborate with technical teams. Hands-on experience in operational modelling or coding will help you meet this role’s requirements.
You bring proven experience in designing, commissioning, and managing complex data and analytics projects, including working with external partners. You are confident in navigating ambiguity and organizational complexity, with a track record of delivering projects end-to-end combined with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certification. Your stakeholder management and facilitation skills enable you to align diverse teams, build consensus, and drive decision-making across functions.
You are familiar with AI/ML tools, automation platforms, and data analytics solutions such as Power BI, Databricks, or similar technologies. Experience working in agile or sprint-based environments, as well as exposure to transformation programs, will support your success in this role.
