Channel Development Manager, Thailand
The Channel Development Manager role drives sustainable business growth across key accounts in Hyper/Super channels in Thailand. This role is responsible for developing channel strategies, strengthening distributor partnerships, and ensuring excellence in in-store execution to deliver category growth and commercial performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams and distributors, the role plays a key part in translating regional strategies into impactful local execution.
- Develop and implement channel strategies aligned with business objectives
- Define distribution, visibility, and promotional standards across assigned channels
- Identify performance gaps and implement action plans to accelerate growth
- Support sales planning, including volume forecasts and trade investment budgets
- Monitor performance against targets and recommend corrective actions
- Track key commercial KPIs such as sales, stock levels, and execution metrics
- Partner with distributors to implement channel and customer strategies
- Analyse customer performance and identify business opportunities
- Support development of customer-specific plans and national-level insights
- Ensure excellence in in-store execution across distribution, displays, and promotions
- Monitor implementation and alignment with agreed plans and brand guidelines
- Adapt regional campaigns to local market needs
- Manage trade spending in line with commercial policies and guidelines
- Review distributor claims and ensure effective use of investments
- Analyse return on investment of trade activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and Supply Chain
- Work closely with external partners including distributors and agencies
- University degree in Business, Econimics, Marketing or relevant field
- Experience in sales, channel development, or trade marketing within FMCG
- Solid understanding of Modern Trade, experience with hyper/super channel is a stong plus
- Strong distributor management and account management skills
- Analytical skills, strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities
- Familiarity with market data tools (e.g., Nielsen) is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluency in Thai and English
