Channel Development Manager
A Channel Development Manager role drives sustainable business growth, strengthens market presence, and unlocks new commercial opportunities across assigned channels. Reporting to the Sales Director Korea, this role will be responsible for developing and executing channel strategies that support revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitable business performance. The Channel Development Manager will work closely with distributors, customers, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure strong commercial execution, effective partner management, and continuous improvement of channel performance.

- Define and drive channel strategies in alignment with the overall business direction
- Develop annual operational sales plans and contribute to medium-term sales strategies for assigned channels
- Identify growth opportunities by channel and customer, prioritizing initiatives that support sustainable business expansion
- Set targets and monitor performance across key indicators, including sales, market share, distribution, and overall business performance
- Explore and develop new growth levers, including new channels, customers, and business models
- Work with distributors to implement yearly promotional strategies and deliver agreed commercial objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, vendors, platforms, and key customers
- Lead Joint Business Planning, including eJBP where relevant, with distributors and key partners
- Drive business growth and performance through effective partner collaboration and structured follow-up
- Work with distributors to develop the product portfolio and execute assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising strategies
- Optimize eCommerce content, including product pages, search visibility, reviews, and consumer activation plans, to improve conversion
- Plan and implement shopper activation initiatives and digital campaigns
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and best practices to continuously improve channel performance
- Analyze current channel performance and identify future business opportunities
- Develop SWOT analyses and performance reviews by channel and customer
- Work with distributors to define action plans by customer and monitor progress against agreed objectives
- Manage sales performance and track KPIs, including revenue, ROI, market share, and investment effectiveness
- Lead regular business reviews and performance reporting, ensure trade spending is managed in line with Ferrero’s commercial guidelines
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Legal teams
- Collect and analyze account performance data, market trends, scan data, promotion results, and project evaluations
- Prepare internal reports and insights to support data-driven business decisions
- University degree in Business, Economics or related field
- Significant experience in sales, channel development, key account management, distributor management, or a related commercial role
- Strong understanding of channel strategy, customer development, and commercial execution, FMCG MNC experience is preferred
- Experience in managing and negotiating with distributors, retailers, and key business partners
- eCommerce experience, preferably including platform management, digital activation, content optimization, and performance tracking is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of consumer activation across both online and offline channels
- Strong analytical skills, with experience managing KPIs, ROI, budget allocation, and performance reporting
- The ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and international environment, strong stakeholder management
- An agile mindset, strong execution focus, and the ability to turn insights into actionable plans
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, experience with Power BI is a plus
- Fluency in English and Korean, written and spoken
