As the Associate Brand Manager, you’ll be at the heart of driving brand growth, deepening consumer engagement, and expanding market share in the mainstream cookies category. This role will be responsible for monitoring, assessing, and driving the performance to ensure delivery against budget. With the Brand Manager, you will lead the Fudge Stripes portfolio to ensure the #1 sub-brand on Keebler delivers vs budget and the Variety portfolio to help extend the Ferrero Cookies business into new consumption opportunities. You’ll help shape and execute brand strategies, marketing campaigns, and new product initiatives that align with both consumer needs and Ferrero’s enterprise goals.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Sales, R&D, Finance, Packaging, and Project Management—as well as external partners to bring brand plans to life across channels. You’ll use consumer insights and market data to inform decisions and contribute to the commercialization of new products, go-to-market strategies, and the development of annual and long-term brand plans. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and project management skills.
You’ll also help execute shopper marketing programs and point-of-sale strategies that drive conversion at shelf, manage marketing budgets, and support integrated communication plans that resonate with consumers. Additionally, the candidate should possess good knowledge of the retail trade structure as know-how of each class of trade will enable a more complete understanding of the business and factor in the development of new channel initiatives.

This role will report to the Brand Manager and work from our Chicago, IL office on a hybrid schedule.
- Category Insights & Consumer Understanding:
- Perform category, competitive, and brand-level analyses to inform strategy in the Center Store Cookies category and relevant adjacencies
- Provides routine sub-brands performance updates, identify, and implement actionable insights that drive business objectives and strategy. Ability to present findings to leadership.
- Capacity to understand and interpret qualitative and quantitative research for business purposes and strategy development.
- Business & Financial Management:
- Possesses solid project management skills from planning stage to execution and final assessment to achieve brand objectives and goals.
- Leverages foundational business understanding to identify short-term business opportunities.
- Executes key activities and tactics that feed into annual marketing plan
- Support the development and execution of the 3 year strategic plan for respective categories.
- Ability to lead Cross-functional teams from R&D, Finance, Trade marketing, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain to assist in the planning, commercialization, and execution of new initiatives.
- Support development and execution of consumer activation plans, including PR, social media, and shopper marketing programs
- Support artwork development for new items and marketing executions, including design briefs, creative direction, and production
- Understands internal processes and seeks out opportunities for continuous improvement including obsolescence waste reduction and sku rationalization.
- Prepares and creates engaging, meaningful, and persuasive presentations.
- Manage product portfolio across relevant systems (e.g. SAP, F8, Salsify, Archway)
- Communication & Agency Management:
- Support the execution of communication activities to engage consumers and shoppers when and where they are most receptive.
- Leads the development of shopper consumer activation plans and manage execution.
- Understands the shopper path-to-purchase (Omni-Commerce) to help assess and strengthen brand-building shopper programs.
- Collaborate with the legal department to safeguard brand assets and ensure compliance in third-party interactions
- Manage relationships with external vendors ensuring quality output and cost efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in business; Master’s degree in Business is a plus
- 2-5 years’ experience in consumer-packaged goods brand marketing
- Solid understanding of business and marketing fundamentals (e.g., P&L, Market Share, pricing strategy)
- Excellent analytical skills upon which to base decision-making.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Experience working with consumer data; i.e. IRI, ACNielsen
- Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple initiatives across cross-functional teams
- Team player able to effectively interact and work with various functional departments
- Passion, energy and drive to work with world-class brands
- Motivation to grow in a merit-based, fast-paced, multinational organization
- Adaptable to foreign cultures
- Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; SAP knowledge a plus

The base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $113,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
