Industrial Controller
As an Industrial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting Ferrero’s operational and financial performance at our Halstead site. You will partner closely with Finance and Operations teams to monitor plant performance, analyse cost drivers, and ensure accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting.
In this role, you’ll contribute to budgeting and forecasting, oversee period-end processes, and help maintain reliable cost data to support business decisions. You’ll also analyse industrial variances, validate product costings, and support stock and asset management activities — ensuring our site remains efficient, cost-effective, and well-controlled.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset who is eager to develop within a fast-paced, global FMCG business known for its excellence and quality.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of month-end processing and reporting in line with Group standards, providing insights into monthly performance and highlighting variances, risks, and opportunities to improve plant efficiency. You will support the budgeting and forecasting process by collecting, validating, and consolidating financial data from operations, as well as maintaining and updating standard costs for materials to ensure accuracy in brand and SKU profitability.
You will analyse industrial variances between actual and budgeted results, supporting the identification and implementation of corrective actions to improve financial performance. In addition, you will generate monthly and ad-hoc industrial reports, including stock movements, provisions, and destructions, while collaborating with Operations and Finance teams to promote best practices in cost control and reporting.
Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and validating cost data within the Product Development Process (PDP) system, overseeing standard cost releases, and monitoring fixed and current assets to ensure accurate capitalization, compliant stock-takes, and integrity of related balance sheet entries.
We’re looking for an analytical, detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in finance, data, and operations — ideally with experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment. You’ll have excellent Excel skills and a good working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
You’ll thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing accuracy with curiosity to challenge and improve the way we work. A proactive approach, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills will help you build trusted relationships across Finance, Operations, and wider teams.
