About the Role:

Ferrero is looking for a commercially driven and collaborative Business Unit Controller (BUC) for Morrisons to lead strategic customer development across assigned clients and channels in the UK & Ireland market. In this high-impact commercial role, you will manage customer relationships, lead negotiations, and drive performance through tailored plans aligned with Ferrero’s commercial priorities.

You will report to the Accounts Director and work closely with internal stakeholders in Trade Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain, as well as directly engage with our valued retail partners. The BUC plays a key role in shaping customer plans, managing budgets, tracking performance, and identifying opportunities for sustainable growth.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Business Unit Controller for Morrisons, you will be responsible for leading the commercial strategy and development of assigned clients and channels within the UK & Ireland market. This includes creating and executing tailored customer plans that align with Ferrero’s overall commercial objectives, driving sales performance and identifying key growth opportunities.

You will manage sales forecasts, propose commercial budgets, and ensure spending remains within agreed guidelines. Building and maintaining strong trade relationships will be central to the role, helping you stay close to the market and respond to evolving customer needs.

You will also oversee the planning and implementation of trade promotions, monitoring performance against KPIs and budget, and ensuring promotional activity is aligned with category and brand strategies.

A critical aspect of the role will be leading commercial negotiations, managing contracts, and collaborating cross-functionally with teams such as Trade Marketing, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver best-in-class execution. In addition, you will take on responsibility for managing and developing a high-performing team, ensuring their growth and engagement in line with Ferrero’s values.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a commercially focused individual with a strong background in key account or business unit management, ideally within the FMCG industry. You should have a proven track record of driving sales growth through strong customer engagement, strategic planning, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate will be confident in managing budgets and forecasting, with excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities are essential, as is the capability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively across departments.

You will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, bringing a proactive mindset and a passion for delivering results. Experience in managing a team is highly valued, as is the ability to lead with empathy, develop talent, and promote a high-performance culture. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems is required. Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, resilience, and a consumer-first approach that aligns with Ferrero’s values and growth ambitions.
