The Copack Site Specialist will serve as the primary Ferrero representative at several U.S.-based co-packing locations. This role requires strong leadership in managing external manufacturing partners, ensuring compliance with Ferrero’s quality standards, and driving operational excellence across a $50M+ annual co-packing network. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in production operations, supply chain management, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
The Copack Site Specialist will serve as the primary Ferrero representative at several U.S.-based co-packing locations. This role requires strong leadership in managing external manufacturing partners, ensuring compliance with Ferrero’s quality standards, and driving operational excellence across a $50M+ annual co-packing network. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in production operations, supply chain management, financial analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Serve as Ferrero’s primary representative and key point of contact for multiple third-party co-packing facilities across the U.S., overseeing relationships, activities, and issue resolution.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with contract manufacturing partners.
• Ensure adherence to Ferrero’s quality principles and compliance standards.
• Requires strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities across sites.
• Requires excellent communication and influencing skills to work cross-functionally and with internal and external partners.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including LDU, Marketing, Planning, Finance, Quality, Graphic, procurement, Legal, Ferrero Luxembourg, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, & R&D to ensure alignment on co-packing operations and decisions.
• Monitor and manage bulk and packaging material obsolescence, implementing strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives at co-pack locations.
• Collaborate with co-packers on continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure on-time delivery of bulk and packaging materials to support uninterrupted production
• Develop sourcing strategies and provide recommendations for optimal product allocation across co-packing sites.
• Coordinate with Ferrero packaging engineers to validate new packaging components and support production trials at co-pack locations.
• Track production KPIs such as throughput, yield, scrap, labor utilization, and downtime at co-pack facilities.
• Monitor adherence to weekly and monthly production plans, highlighting risks and proposing mitigation actions.
• Contribute to contingency planning by identifying alternate sourcing or production options in case of disruptions.
• Partner with planning teams to align production schedules with available capacity and materials
• Propose opportunities at co-pack locations to expand capabilities and increase capacity to support volume growth.
• Collect and validate turnkey cost submissions from co-packers as part of the RFQ process (labor, materials, Overheads, and packaging).
• Coordinate RFQ approvals with cross-functional teams such as Marketing and Finance
• Support the tendering process by collecting and validating turnkey cost submissions from co-packers
• Assist in the preparation of tolling price adjustment analyses to support annual negotiations.
• Conduct quantitative financial analyses to assess impacts of operational and sourcing decisions.
• Participate in capital investment projects related to volume growth and capability expansion.
• Support the U.S. co-packing budgeting process.
• Support budget variance tracking by analyzing actuals vs. forecasts for co-pack operations.
• Perform and support all job requirements as directed by Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of production performance, incidents, and compliance audits; provide regular reports to Ferrero stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4-6 years of experience
• SAP and Advanced MS Excel experience required
• Up to 25% travel required

The base salary range for this position is $74,000- $99,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
