Scientific & Food Affairs Manager

Institutional Affairs and Corporate Communication

CDI

At Ferrero, science and policy are not parallel tracks - they are inseparable as they both inform our business decisions. As Scientific & Food Affairs Manager within the Ferrero Group Public Policy Center, you will sit at the intersection of nutrition science, food regulation and public policy, turning complex scientific evidence into clear positions that shape how Ferrero engages with governments, international bodies and the wider public health community.

This is a high-visibility role with genuine strategic influence. You will help define and defend the company's stance on nutrition, food safety, and quality - informing decisions that matter not just to the business but to millions of consumers worldwide. You will do this by monitoring the evolving regulatory and scientific landscape, translating its implications for internal stakeholders, and representing Ferrero externally with credibility and authority.

The role sits within a compact, global, internationally minded team and offers direct exposure to Ferrero's most senior decision-making forums. You will manage one resource and operate in close collaboration with Corporate Communications, Strategy & Innovation, Health & Nutrition, Food Safety & Quality, Food Regulatory, and R&D - making cross-functional alignment a core part of how you work.

You will monitor, interpret, and communicate regulatory and scientific developments across nutrition, food safety, and food quality - translating emerging evidence, international standards, and dietary guidelines into timely, actionable insights for the business. Your analysis will directly inform Ferrero's regulatory positioning and reputational risk management.

You will lead the development of evidence-based policy positions, ensuring that Ferrero's advocacy is grounded in robust science and clearly articulated for external engagement with policymakers, regulators and trade associations. You will represent the company in relevant working groups and international forums, contributing to policy discussions and public health debates on behalf of the organization.

Building and nurturing an external network will be central to your work. You will cultivate relationships with academics, advisory bodies, international organizations and industry groups - keeping Ferrero informed on the frontier of scientific developments and ensuring the company is well-positioned to engage credibly in an increasingly scrutinized regulatory environment.

Internally, you will develop high-quality materials and strategic briefings for top management, including presentations for Ferrero's Nutrition Board. You will ensure that regulatory insights are meaningfully integrated into business strategy and that key functions across the organization are aligned on science-based positions and corporate messaging.

You ideally hold a university degree in food law, food technology, chemistry, or a Master's or PhD in nutrition, food science or public health. You bring at least seven years of relevant professional experience in the food sector, with a good understanding of nutrition, food regulation and food safety.

You are at home with complexity. You can read a dense regulatory document, extract what matters, and turn it into a clear, decision-ready brief for a senior audience. You are as comfortable engaging policymakers as you are briefing a cross-functional internal team - and you bring the same intellectual rigour and diplomatic confidence to both.

You think strategically and act proactively. You stay ahead of regulatory trends not because you are asked to, but because you are curious about the link between science, policy, and business. You are energized by a dynamic, international environment and you thrive when your work has real-world impact.

You are a strong collaborator who understands how to navigate a matrix organization, build alignment across functions, and bring people along in complex debates.
