We have a current opening for a Sales Finance & Planning Manager and are actively reviewing applications. 

•    The Sales Finance & Planning Manager is responsible for supporting the sales organization by providing financial leadership in Trade Spend management, pricing, customer profitability and strategic planning to achieve key financial performance in Volume, Gross Sales, Net Sales and Selling Contribution (after selling overhead) and ensuring all pertinent information is appropriately reflected in the Commercial Unit’s financials and budgeting process
•    Participate to the development and maintenance of trade planning systems and processes as it continues to evolve with the use of SAP, TPM Reporting and new trade planning systems.
•    Work with Trade Marketing to lead the annual plan process, latest estimate, and medium-term plan providing leadership on profitable growth-drivers, summarizing gaps to corporate targets, and recommending creative solutions towards closing the gap.
•    Control, report and analyze all costs related to sales finance activity (Trade Spend, Overheads/ Selling Expenses Other Sales Promotions)
•    Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing and Sales Planning teams to provide insight, guidance and key indicators to identify risks and opportunities
•    Analysis of customer profitability, trade spend ROI and feasibility of trade program proposals 
•    Ensure compliance and control of activities to satisfy audit requirements

STRATEGIC GROSS TO NET PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT
•    Oversee and lead the brands and customers gross to net sales planning process ensuring targets are aligned with strategic business direction and highlight any spend risks or opportunities.
•    Provide leadership in the areas of financial analysis and planning, process execution for mid-year reviews, trade optimization, etc.
•    Responsible for identifying any fluctuations between the plan/forecast and actuals.  Communicate timely any issues and propose solutions.
•    Support Canada Commercial Controller by providing inputs for Financial Budget/revisions and latest estimates as it relates to volume and gross to net sales and communicate any important risks/opportunities.


CONTROLLING, REPORTING AND INSIGHTS
•    Participate in business development, strategic growth initiatives, and ad hoc financial analyses.
•    Contribute relevant financial insights to evaluate customer strategic opportunities
•    Provide financial updates and guidance to sales team throughout the year to assist them in achieving key financial performance objectives.  
•    Prepare and analyze financial data for customer teams such as Customer P&L, Trade Scorecard etc).


TRADE SPEND OPTIMIZATION
•    Work with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to maintain tight control over trade spending and ensure that ROI targets and funding principles are met.
•    Oversee the TMA funds and provide guidance to the sales organization on best practices opportunities to optimize
•    Responsible for monitoring latest estimates vs plan, ensuring appropriate handling of all trade spend and provide assistance with resolution of outstanding issues & deductions.


INTERNAL CONTROL AND COMPLIANCE
•    Monitor compliance with internal controls, processes, and Group commercial policies.
•    Identify system and process gaps and recommend actions to improve data quality, efficiency, and transparency.
•    Continuously enhance internal models, reporting tools, and use of technology to focus on value-added activities.
•    Leveraged as subject matter expert in scoping out & developing new trade systems & tools to enhance decision making abilities


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND TEAM DEVELOPMENT
•    Direct manager (professional and managerial head) to 1 Finance Analyst to help execute all aspects of trade and sales volume planning, forecasting and trade spend optimization
•    On-going development of Sales training & education programs that deliver improvements in trade management excellence

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
•    Minimum of 7 years of relevant finance experience required, preferably supporting the Sales/Customer teams
•    Relevant experience in financial planning, trade spend management and sales finance analytics 
•    Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or other relevant software is an asset
•    Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO modules) is an asset
•    Knowledge of financial reporting systems is preferred (Oracle/EPM and TMA/ACP)

The base compensation range for this position is $101,646.00 - $135,528.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
