Project Engineer (f/m/d) Facilities & Civil Engineering
We are seeking a Project Engineer to join the Engineering department within the Facilities and Civil Engineering team at our technical center in Stadtallendorf (Germany). The role will be responsible for managing investment projects related to new installations and refurbishment activities across our plants worldwide.
- Lead design activities for facilities, civil infrastructure and industrial buildings in compliance with laws, standards and policies
- Supervise the release of technical documents for permitting in line with all applicable laws of the country (Federal, State and Local) where investment is realized, manage technical discussions with local authorities
- Ensure a transparent tender process, evaluate supplier offers, and monitor milestones until project completion
- Coordinate all involved disciplines (H&S, Process, IT, Quality, etc.) throughout the full project lifecycle
- Supervise and manage execution of industrial investments ensuring H&S, food safety, hygienic design principles as well as technical and group standards
- Support start-up of new buildings and provide post–go-live assistance to Production when needed
- Monitor project timelines and budgets and ensure proper professional reporting
- Manage proper storage and continuous updating of all design packages, project documents and layouts according to Ferrero Engineering standards; apply advanced design technologies (BIM) and contribute to building guidelines based on best practices and lessons learned
- Support digitalization of technical archives according to Engineering policies and ensure on-site presence and live support for assigned projects
- Master’s degree in engineering with a focus on building engineering and experience (8 years+) in Building & Utilities.
- Strong technical leadership in designing and constructing complex industrial buildings and installations
- Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary environments, multiple sites, subcontractors, and permitting processes
- Strong capability to lead and coordinate suppliers combined
- Strong teamwork-, communication-, reporting-, and problem‑solving skills, able to make independent on‑site decisions
- Problem solving attitude and ability to relate with different functions (Technical Procurement, H&S, etc.).
- Proactive attitude, result orientation, project ownership, ability to set priorities, manage time and realize different projects in parallel
- Willingness to travel frequently across plants and construction sites
- Fluent English
