We have a current opening for a Production Supervisor and are actively reviewing applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor who will oversee the team members on the production lines. The Production Supervisor supervises manufacturing operations and supports staff with an emphasis on teamwork, employee safety, product quality and sanitation. This role will support the execution of the production plant by leading the line team in operational activities. You will be the point person during your assigned shift and ensure that the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment are available and properly utilized to perform production tasks effectively. In this role you will be instrumental in ensuring that our quality standards and continuous improvement enhance our production efficiency while taking things to the next level.

To be successful in this role as a Production Supervisor you will need to be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, understand internal and external business needs with professionalism and a sense of urgency. Excellent leadership and communication skills will be key assets in this role.

  • This position may require approximately 5% travel and work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
  • This role reports to the Operations Manager.
  • Responsible for directing and guiding operators/leads, for their activities for assigned area/shift in the execution of production and/or logistics plans (receiving, processing, mixing, baking, packaging, shipping, etc.), shift change management and communication, daily production standards and labor reconciliation.
  • Participate in the development of and implements plans and policies to ensure compliance in all areas of responsibility. Operates production lines in accordance with FDA guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP/SQF program guidelines.
  • Responsible for team development of employees to insure proper mixing, machining, and packaging in assigned areas according to targeted specifications, to achieve total quality.
  • Develops their leads on all responsibilities associated with their line and promotes a positive attitude.
  • Responsible for problem solving process to resolve and/or mitigate those operational issues result in negative performance to plan as determined by the established escalation process.
  • Ensure adherence to all standard work processes, lean processes, 5S, SIC, DMS, DDS, etc.
  • Responsible for compliance with all regulations. Food safety – plant in proper sanitary condition at all times, including allergen control, pest control, guidelines followed.
  • Compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with employee safety policies and procedures.
  • Applicants must be available for all shift
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4-7 years related experience 
  • Processing, packing and mechanical experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SAP, an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity
  • Proven ability to effectively manage people
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
