The Production Manager is responsible for delivering operational, quality, and financial performance across a dedicated production unit. The role ensures optimal use of production resources, drives continuous improvement, and leads team development while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. 

This position acts as a key reference point for all activities related to production excellence, innovation, and product development within the assigned unit.

  • Prepare and manage production, maintenance, energy, and general expenditure budgets for the assigned unit
  • Identify and support investment needs to enhance production capabilities and plant performance
  • Monitor operational performance and drive cost, efficiency, and waste optimization
  • Ensure effective use of production resources to maximize operational performance and efficiency
  • Approve and oversee the execution of weekly production plans, taking corrective action when required
  • Collaborate with production planning teams to meet output, efficiency, and quality targets
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and product specifications
  • Guarantee adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety regulations across the production area
  • Promote a strong quality and safety culture
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise team activities within the production unit
  • Contribute to workforce planning (short- and long-term)
  • Define objectives and evaluate team performance in alignment with plant guidelines
  • Support talent development, capability building, and engagement initiatives
  • Drive absenteeism management and foster a positive working environment
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and performance
  • Promote operational excellence through structured improvement programs and methodologies
  • Support innovation and enhancement projects within the production system
  • Set priorities for maintenance interventions in collaboration with maintenance teams
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of maintenance plans
  • University degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Management, or a related field
  • Solid experience in manufacturing, production, or plant operations (FMCG experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Continuous improvement mindset (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma exposure is an advantage)
  • Strong analytical and budget management capabilities
  • Proven leadership capability with team management exposure
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive operational excellence
