Financial Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. Reporting to the ANZ Commercial Controller Manager, this role plays a key part in supporting business performance through financial planning, analysis, reporting, and commercial insights.
The successful candidate will partner with stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR, and IT to deliver meaningful analysis that supports informed decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their commercial acumen within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans.
- Analyse business performance against budget and forecast targets.
- Conduct variance, sensitivity, cost-benefit, benchmarking, and performance analysis.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
Reporting & Insights
- Prepare regular financial and commercial reporting for business stakeholders.
- Deliver insights on category, customer, and business unit performance.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and scorecards.
- Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements.
Commercial & Financial Control
- Support trade spend management, accrual calculations, and financial controls.
- Assist with transfer pricing and cost price administration.
- Monitor budget compliance and support purchasing governance.
- Help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Master Data & Systems
- Support the management of master data, including product, customer, vendor, and organisational information.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting systems, including ERP and reporting platforms.
Inventory & Compliance
- Participate in stocktakes and inventory-related financial analysis.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process documentation.
- Assist with ad hoc financial projects and business requests.
You are an analytical and collaborative finance professional who enjoys working with data and translating numbers into meaningful business insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years' experience in a financial analysis, accounting, or commercial finance role.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Exposure to FMCG or a similar commercial environment is advantageous.
