The Commercial Logistics Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end logistics strategy and operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role acts as the key interface between global supply chain, local commercial teams, and external partners to ensure optimal service, cost efficiency, and inventory performance.

The position oversees transport, warehousing, import/export operations, and third-party logistics (3PL) performance while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Define and execute the ANZ logistics network strategy aligned with business growth and service objectives
  • Lead warehousing and transport strategy, including network design, optimization, and 3PL selection
  • Establish performance frameworks with clear KPIs, dashboards, and governance processes
  • Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including inbound, storage, and distribution
  • Manage 3PL partners through structured performance reviews and continuous improvement
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with operational and quality standards
  • Drive cost-to-serve initiatives and improve network efficiency
  • Monitor systems performance (e.g. SAP, EDI) and drive continuous enhancements
  • Own and manage the logistics budget in line with financial targets
  • Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across logistics activities
  • Lead analysis of cost variances and implement corrective actions
  • Strengthen vendor governance and contract compliance
  • Define and manage logistics operations supporting the New Zealand market
  • Ensure supply continuity through risk mitigation and contingency planning
  • Optimize cross-border flows and sourcing strategies
  • Set and monitor performance objectives aligned with business priorities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team
  • Build capability through coaching, development, and succession planning
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • University degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • Solid experience across logistics operations including transport, warehousing, and 3PL management
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations, FMCG experience is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, cost optimization, and logistics performance management
  • Good understanding of planning, customer service, and cross-functional supply chain processes
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, ability to lead teams and collaborate across functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage priorities between operational and strategic objectives
  • Experience driving change and continuous improvement
  • Team management experience
  • Experience with SAP / S4 HANA, advanced MS office skills
