Category Analyst - Other MT
The Category Analyst – Modern Trade plays a key role in shaping shopper‑focused, insight‑led category strategies that grow both customer partnerships and Ferrero performance. This role works closely with Customer Category Managers and cross‑functional teams to translate data and insights into compelling category stories, joint business plans and actionable recommendations across Modern Trade channel.
- Partner with Customer Category Managers and customers to develop insight‑led category strategies and joint category plans
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting and analysis on category, channel and Ferrero performance, supporting forecasting and informed business decisions
- Analyse shopper, category and customer data (e.g. scan data, shopper research, market reports) to identify opportunities across pricing, promotion, range, distribution and shelf execution (4Ps)
- Support range reviews, planning sessions and joint business planning with key customers
- Create customer‑ready category selling stories to support seasonal initiatives, new product launches and activation plans
- Act as the voice of the shopper and category internally, ensuring customer‑ and shopper‑centric thinking across planning and execution
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with teams to deliver integrated plans, build strong internal relationships and influence outcomes through insight, storytelling and clear recommendations
- Support the development of trusted, credible relationships with retailers through the consistent delivery of high‑quality insights and category expertise
- Engage with external partners such as research agencies and data providers as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline
- Experience in category management, trade marketing or commercial analytics within FMCG or retail environments. Knowledge of modernt trade channel and customer dynamics is an advantage
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert data into clear insights and recommendations
- Confident communication skills with strong presentation and storytelling ability
- Commercial mindset with a results‑oriented and problem‑solving approach
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable working across functions
- Advanced MS Office skills, experience with SAP is considered a plus
