Accountant, Korea
The Accountant role will support daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and company policies. This role is responsible for cash flow monitoring, VAT filing, statutory financial statement preparation, and monthly closing activities. The Accountant role helps to ensure the integrity and timeliness of financial information to support business operations and compliance.
- Manage monthly closing activities, including payment preparation, invoice validation, AR/AP settlements, journal entries, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and reconcile VAT filings, statutory financial statements, and other regulatory reports
- Maintain the SAP fixed asset register and ensure accurate postings
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and credit management reports
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (all departments, group companies, controllers, group finance, tax, and consolidation teams) and external partners (customers, suppliers, banks, auditors, tax consultants, regulatory bodies)
- Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules and required documentation
- Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure all supporting documentation is in place for payments, including intercompany and third-party vendors
- Participate in stock counts and support supply chain activities as needed
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong relevant accounting experience with a good knowledge of local regulations and accounting standards
- Strong attention to detail and sensitivity with numbers
- Experience in leading tax or customs audits is preferred
- Good stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Experience with ERP/accounting software; SAP S4HANA experience is required, SAP ECC is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level)
- Fluency in English and Korean, written and spoken
