We are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Global Data Science & AI team and solving complex business challenges through innovative analytics and AI-driven approaches, with a strong focus on production and scalability. The position supports the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) function in shaping strategic decisions across the business and across multiple categories and geographies.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, transforming data into actionable insights that guide Ferrero’s growth.

Based at the Alba offices, the role offers the possibility to work remotely up to two days per week.

In this role, you will analyze diverse datasets, including sales, marketing and media, promotions, pricing, macroeconomic indicators, and build advanced statistical and AI-driven models to address business challenges across categories and geographies.

Leveraging both traditional Machine Learning approaches and emerging technologies such as Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), you will develop, test, and deploy analytical solutions that deliver contextual insights and support data-driven decision-making.

You will design robust data cleansing and classification processes for sources such as retail sell-out, eCommerce sales, digital shelf metrics, shopper behavior, consumer surveys, and third-party datasets, ensuring data quality and integrity across modeling and reporting activities.

To drive efficiency and scalability, you will develop automation scripts for analytical pipelines while exploring AI-powered solutions for data preparation, processing, and model validation. You will also create interactive Power BI dashboards and, where relevant, develop self-service tools that enable stakeholders to independently access insights and run models.

Working closely with a team of data scientists and cross-functional partners, you will contribute to a culture of innovation by sharing knowledge, experimenting with new approaches, and integrating emerging technologies to continuously strengthen organizational capabilities.

You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field and bring experience in applied data science roles, ideally within an FMCG manufacturing environment.

You are proficient in programming languages and have hands-on experience with platforms such as Power BI, Azure, Spark, Scala, and Google Analytics, while familiarity with Databricks would be advantageous.

You combine analytical skills with creativity and a test-and-learn mindset, enabling you to turn data into actionable insights.

You are fluent in English and bring strong communication skills, enabling you to interact effectively with business stakeholders and interpret analytical results from a business perspective.
