FSQ Packaging Manager
The purpose of the role is to ensure packaging quality for China for assigned packaging categories, across all production steps, through supplier qualification and to guarantee packaging supply compliance both to internal Ferrero quality standards and international norms and legislation, as well as manage technical supplier relationships to capitalize on know-how, evolution and expertise of the best in class.
The role is to cooperate and support buyers to ensure packaging performance with special attention to environmental impact and compliance. The responsible should identify solutions / alternative materials to meet specific environmental project objectives, share best production practices with all business areas to achieve the best quality of packaging materials. Work in full cooperation with the others business functions. Accompany geographic development of the Company in the Region, supporting the future change and growth with business ambition.
• Ensure the execution of Quality Audit Plan and communicate to the Central Packaging Quality team the action plan and in case of the unplanned audit requests
• Escalate the critical nonconformities, discovered during audit activities at Region level to the Central Packaging Quality
• Preview of technical specifications and tolerances in collaboration with other departments and subject matter experts by referring to the quality documents and as is packaging materials
• Pre-assess the packaging raw material in terms of food safety and normative requirements
• Ensure the homologation/maintenance of suppliers at the regional level through qualitative audits and, in case of critical issues and missing of requirements, build the improvement plan
• Support the scouting and selection of packaging suppliers at the regional level by performing preventive inspections
• Collaborate with internal involved stakeholders and external providers in the application of preventive/corrective action to solve nonconformities, underlining the issues and anomaly's detected during the audits
• Develop and follow the action plan implementation at supplier site in agreement with Packaging Procurement and industrial partners
• Collaborate with central team to define KPI and report the required information to allow the Vendor Rating
• Cascade the supplier evaluation to local level to drive the change according to the output
• Manage monthly reporting to the central team, with the major issues, rejection percentage and audit results
• Follow up on specific project, especially on local suppliers, to improve the packaging quality coordinating external providers and internal stakeholders
• Support the competent technical departments, in the design of new facilities or amending of the existing ones, by focusing on maintaining proper Quality Standards and characteristics of Packaging Material
• Collect the Declarations of Compliance (DoC) and evaluate the documents received in collaboration with the Food Safety Packaging team
• Provide the risk analysis (developed in collaboration with the central team), with the updates on the minimum sampling plan, mandatory legislations, voluntary norms and standards, others
• Support 3PO on the co-man exploration projects
• University degree, preferably in the related field
• Relevant experience in FMCG or packaging supply companies with basic SAP System knowledge.
• Food safety and packaging knowledge; GMP Competences required.
• Knowledge of technical and technological packaging characteristics
• Knowledge of the new certification systems and existing regulations and standards to ensure packaging quality
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required- both, written and spoken.
• ISO19011 training for auditors’ certificate is a strong plus
• PCQI/FSVP training certificate is a strong plus
