We have a current opening for a Raw Material Quality Auditor and are actively reviewing applications.

The Raw Material Food Safety & Quality Auditor ensures Ferrero suppliers in the USA and Canada comply with Ferrero standards and regulatory requirements, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.

This role supports eight North American manufacturing plants by auditing supplier sites, conducting risk assessments, and partnering cross-functionally with R&D and Procurement to ensure safe, high-quality raw materials. The position also serves as a subject matter expert in designated raw material categories, leading supplier improvement and risk mitigation initiatives.

  • Conduct on-site and remote audits of raw material suppliers across North America to ensure compliance with Ferrero standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, CFIA, GFSI-recognized schemes).
  • Lead raw material and supplier risk assessments as part of supplier approval and ongoing performance monitoring programs.
  • Review, evaluate, and maintain supplier food safety and quality documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and regulatory alignment.
  • Develop and manage the supplier audit schedule, ensuring timely execution and follow-up of corrective actions.
  • Lead supplier de-risking initiatives in partnership with Procurement and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Investigate supplier non-conformities, out-of-specification materials, and food safety incidents; oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans.
  • Serve as the North America subject matter expert for designated raw material categories, providing technical guidance to manufacturing plants.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Central Quality teams to support new product innovation and continuous supplier improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in food industry quality, including supplier auditing and raw material quality management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized standards and regulatory requirements including Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP); ISO 9001 experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting supplier risk assessments and managing corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
  • Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) certification and Lead Auditor qualification preferred.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and statistical sampling methodologies; ability to travel 35%+ within USA and Canada.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000 - 138,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
