Trade Marketing Specialist
For our Ferrero Bulgaria business unit based in Sofia, we are currently looking for Trade Marketing Specialist to execute the trade marketing activities in the Modern and Traditional trade channels in the country. The position will report to the local Trade Marketing Manager and will provide support to Sales and Marketing in the development of the Company Plan in its POS part, sharing with the team ad-hoc analysis, supporting Sales in the preparation of argumentations for customers and maintaining track of the actual in-store implementation of activities and POS materials.
The Trade Marketing Specialist will proactively identify business opportunities and areas for improvement across categories, customers and channels. Ensure they are well-prepared to effectively support both Sales and Marketing teams.
At the heart of this role is the development of the Trade Marketing Plan for the assigned categories, shaped in accordance with the Brand Plan and in partnership with Marketing. By deep understanding customer needs, market dynamics and brand ambition, the role identifies opportunities and challenges, translates them into listing recommendations and sets clear activation guidelines for each customer. You will take full ownership of the POS materials (POSM) journey — from ideation and development of short and long term assets to ensure their correct usage in store, efficient maintenance and transportation, and disciplined cost management. Collaboration with agencies and vendors is key to delivering the most effective POS solutions, always in line with Ferrero policies and procedures. Working hand in hand with the Sales Team, the role helps shape impactful in‑store solutions that drive demand, capture commercial opportunities and strengthen brand visibility at the point of sale. In this role, strong operational discipline meets commercial impact. Full ownership of POSM records management ensures that documentation and order creation are handled accurately and in full alignment with policies and procedures, providing a solid foundation for flawless execution. The position plays an active role in shaping and bringing to life the company’s Brand Plan, Business Activity Calendar and POSM budget, contributing from preparation through follow up to ensure consistency, focus and measurable impact across the year. You will support the Sales Team during contract negotiations with assigned customers by crafting clear and persuasive selling arguments, translating customer opportunities into a compelling negotiation strategy that supports both brand and commercial objectives. The role also contributes to the development of channel level planograms, defining clear guidelines for shelf, checkout and secondary placements. By combining shopper insight with category knowledge, it helps strengthen and expand business potential across all categories. Working in close partnership with the Trade Marketing Manager, the role analyzes Ferrero’s performance across categories and customers versus competitors, turning data into insight to identify key performance drivers, risks, challenges and customer level growth opportunities.
We are looking for a professional who brings 3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Customer or Category Management, ideally within the FMCG environment, where fast pace and commercial focus are part of everyday work. Experience in Sales is considered a strong advantage, adding valuable commercial perspective to the role. The ideal candidate understands how customers operate at different levels and knows how to manage cross-functional processes effectively. Strong analytical skills are essential, with the ability to turn both internal and external data into actionable insights, using tools such as NIQ Nielsen, Power BI, Euromonitor and media sources to support sound decision making. Comfort navigating cross-functional organizations and influencing stakeholders without direct authority is key to success in this role. Experience in supporting retail activations from a shopper perspective is expected, while a background in sales, marketing or trade marketing is considered a plus, as it brings broader business understanding and strategic sensitivity. You combine clear communication and coordination skills with a structured, analytical mindset, allowing you to balance creativity with execution discipline. Fluency in Bulgarian and English is required. Readiness for occasional travel is also important, as the role involves regular interaction with suppliers and hands on exposure to real life implementation in the market.
