As a Senior Trade Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting Ferrero’s in-store activation strategy for retailers and key accounts. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing promotional and POS activities for assigned customers, with a strong focus on shopper-oriented activations, visibility and impactful in-store presence.
Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Key Account Management, Supply Chain, Finance and external partners, you will manage trade marketing activities from planning and development through execution, monitoring and evaluation. You will also contribute to channel development initiatives, new in-store opportunities and key projects across priority channels such as Out of Home and Ice Cream.
This role offers the opportunity to work with Ferrero’s iconic brands in a dynamic FMCG environment, combining strategic thinking, commercial understanding and hands-on execution.
Drive in-store activation and channel development: Support the In-store Activation Manager in key projects and taskforces, while coordinating in-store team-related activities and monitoring progress. Identify new in-store opportunities with existing and potential partners, develop new events and contribute to new ways of working across priority channels and categories.
Develop customer and channel plans: Plan and execute shopper-oriented activities that increase Ferrero’s visibility and strengthen its presence at the point of sale. Develop customer-specific promotional concepts and annual promotional calendars by brand and category, aligned with market needs and strategic business objectives.
Support KAMs and cross-functional execution: Support Key Account Managers in the elaboration and implementation of annual in-store activation calendars, related customer-specific analyses. Coordinate internal information flows and timelines between Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to ensure the smooth execution of in-store activities.
Develop and manage POS materials and other tools that support brand visibility and memorability on store level: Work closely with Marketing on the development of POS concepts and materials, including feasibility and cost analysis. Estimate required quantities and coordinate the presentation, rollout and feedback collection of materials with relevant functions, including the field force and merchandisers.
Plan and execute promotional and in-store activities: Develop and coordinate secondary placements, promotional and tailor-made activities, hostess activities, incentives and events at POS level. Ensure activities are implemented effectively and in line with internal processes and requirements, from planning through execution.
Monitor and evaluate in-store execution: Monitor and report on activity execution through store checks, field force reporting and quantitative and qualitative information gathered from Sales. Collect structured feedback from relevant departments, evaluate completed activities and prepare regular analyses and presentations to identify learnings and improvement opportunities.
Identify business opportunities and manage budgets: Identify potential by brand, category and customer, as well as opportunities to increase turnover and profitability for both Ferrero and its retail partners. Support annual Trade Marketing budget planning and monitor monthly costs against budget and agreed plans.
Manage POS operations and external partners: Coordinate the operational purchasing of POS materials, ensuring timely production and delivery to Ferrero warehouses and the sales force. Support POS stock management and administration, while coordinating with external suppliers and hostess agencies, monitoring execution, service quality and costs.
Coordinate information and stakeholders: Collect, consolidate and share relevant information related to promotional activities, catalogues, photos, leaflets, sales force information, POS placement standards and partner incentives. Participate in client meetings and ensure effective collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- University degree in Marketing, Business, Economics or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, in Trade Marketing, In-store Activation, preferably within the FMCG industry
- Experience in Out-of-Home (OOH) channels is considered an advantage.
- Strong trade marketing and shopper marketing knowledge, with a good understanding of in-store execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data and market insights into actionable solutions
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and stakeholders
- Creative, proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong ability to find alternatives and opportunities rather than focusing on limitations
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- High level of ownership, resilience and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluency in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
