As a R&D Group Packaging Sustainability Specialist – LCA & Reporting, you will be part of the Global R&D Packaging team, working within the R&D Group Packaging Sustainability function. In this role, you will contribute to tracking and advancing sustainable packaging solutions across the organization, supporting the evolution of our sustainability strategy. You will report directly to the R&D Group Packaging Sustainability Manager and collaborate with cross-functional and international stakeholders to drive meaningful impact.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of sustainable packaging by supporting the implementation of our global packaging sustainability strategy. You will focus on tracking key performance indicators, delivering accurate reporting, and conducting Life Cycle Assessment studies to guide data-driven decisions. You will ensure the consistent implementation of sustainability plans across regions by sharing central policies and guidelines and working closely with Area Packaging Sustainability Specialists within your scope of expertise.
You will manage the annual collection and consolidation of packaging data for corporate reporting purposes, including CSR reporting, EMF progress reports, and Consumer Goods Forum initiatives, while also supporting evolving business needs such as mergers and acquisitions. You will oversee and continuously improve the environmental footprint database by updating carbon emission factors and maintaining internal LCA tools, leveraging software such as SimaPro.
Your work will contribute to defining and monitoring packaging-related KPIs, supporting the Central Sustainability Team and ensuring that environmental performance is accurately represented in corporate reports. You will also contribute to updating environmental models and translating complex data into actionable insights that guide strategic decisions.

You bring a Master Degree in Engineering or another scientific discipline, combined with hands-on experience that strengthens our sustainability journey. You contribute with three to five years of experience in packaging sustainability, gained in FMCG companies, international consultancies, or recycling and waste management organizations, allowing you to navigate the complexities of materials such as plastic, glass, paper, and aluminum with confidence.
You add value through your expertise in Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and your ability to use related tools effectively, with knowledge of SimaPro representing a strong advantage. You enhance decision-making by confidently managing and interpreting complex datasets, building clear data visualizations, and developing reliable projections. Your advanced Excel skills and ability to communicate insights through tools like PowerPoint make your analyses impactful and accessible, while knowledge of SAP further strengthens your contribution.
You bring a collaborative and global mindset, supported by fluency in both Italian and English, enabling you to work seamlessly across teams and regions and to effectively communicate sustainability topics in an international environment.
