As a Maintenance Mechanic in Florence, KY you will work as a fundamental member of the manufacturing organization and be a key partner to Operations, Quality Food Safety and Environmental Health and Safety personnel. We are looking for a motivated team player who enjoys solving problems and is eager to help shape a strong future for our company and their career.  This position is on night shift, 12 hour rotating schedule with the hours of 7pm to 7am.

Perform repairs, preventive maintenance, electrical, and minor controls work on plant production equipment including mixing, forming, baking, and packaging equipment. Some facilities and building maintenance may also be required.

Inspect mechanical systems, electrical systems, equipment, controls, and components to identify hazards, defects and need for adjustments/repairs/programing

Troubleshoot and repair defective machines and equipment by adjusting, replacing, or installing new or reconditioned parts, following specifications and blueprints, and manuals.

Inspect spare parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments

Conduct informal training of operators and junior maintenance techs as needed.

Respond to equipment break downs in a timely manner to ensure minimal downtime

Comply with all OSHA Safety, GMPs, and Food and Health Safety rules and regulations

Communicate technical subjects verbally and written to co-workers and vendors

Perform other duties as assigned by management

Who are we looking for

High School Diploma or GED
3 years of prior experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial plant environment  OR  2 year technical degree or certificate in a maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance Mechanical Maintenance or related field of study AND 1 year experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial plant environment.
