Food Safety & Quality Manager
We have a current opening for a Food Safety & Quality Manager and are actively reviewing applications.
Supporting Food Safety & Quality Production Manager, and the Head of Quality for the Plant in the development and implementation of new standards within the Franklin Park facility.
• Ensure adherence to product and process quality standards using SAP and corporate systems
• Oversee production line quality activities and guide operator execution
• Manage quality documentation, procedures, and records
• Monitor performance trends and communicate KPIs across levels
• Support production on all quality-related matters
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, GFSI/FSSC22000, and internal quality systems
• Verify effectiveness of food safety plans and GMP adherence
• Manage non-conformances, including product holds, RCA, and consumer complaints
• Oversee final product release with team accountability
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of quality results
• Train employees on GMP, procedures, and quality requirements
• Support operators in executing auto-control activities correctly
• Lead team performance: scheduling, prioritization, and annual evaluations
• Ensure team compliance with procedures and continuous capability development
• B.Sc Degree in Food Science, Food technology preferred, or other related field
• Minimum 2 years in a Quality Supervisor role within a food manufacturing environment
• 4 years of Food Quality and Safety Systems
• Knowledge and experience in Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving Techniques
SPECIFIC KNOWLDEGE
• Knowledge of raw materials, quality assurance and quality control.
• Experience of GFSI standards (FSSC 22000, SQF, BRC) required, Quality Standard ISO9001 is a plus.
• Internal auditing experience is an asset
• Ability to conduct presentations and training sessions
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others
• Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
