The Quality Product Specialist (QPS) will report to the Food and Safety Quality Manager and play a key role in ensuring the integrity and highest level of quality for all Ferrero products. This position is responsible for inspecting work‑in‑process and finished products, supporting daily quality activities, and collaborating closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to maintain and improve food safety and quality standards.

Candidates must have the flexibility to work an 8‑hour schedule and/or a 12‑hour continental shift schedule.

  • Follow production activities to ensure compliance with product food safety and quality standards
  • Complete and communicate risk assessments for food safety/quality non‑conformities in collaboration with Production and Maintenance
  • Manage physical and system (SAP) activities for nonconforming product holds and releases; log nonconformities in SAP
  • Monitor daily quality reports in SAP and take action on rejections per risk assessment
  • Provide inspection guidelines to Production based on statistical analysis; coordinate product rework and compile inspection results
  • Collect and archive retain samples from production lines
  • Work closely with self‑control personnel to ensure compliance with standards, limits, and allowances
  • Partner with Quality Specialists to evaluate and action any deviations from quality standards
  • Participate in SIM2 meetings, root cause analyses (RCA), and Kaizen activities to drive continuous improvement
  • Use relevant information, scientific data, prior experience, and sound judgment to determine compliance with company standards, laws, and regulations
  • When issues arise, collaborate with Production, Quality, and supporting departments to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence
  • Compile and analyze data as needed using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse
  • Perform validation, monitoring, and verification activities supporting food safety and quality systems
  • Review and sign daily oPRP and CCP records for accuracy and completeness
  • Perform swabbing after cleaning and sanitation for validation, verification, or monitoring
  • Manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic production environment
  • Enter, record, store, and maintain information in written and electronic systems
  • Complete all reports related to food safety and quality inspections and other quality activities
  • Provide accurate food safety and quality information to all relevant departments
  • Support creation and distribution of FSQ documentation (e.g., auto‑control instructions and forms, cleaning & sanitation, oPRP, CCP, etc.)

Quality & Food Safety

  • Ensure all program requirements/standards (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, HACCP) are implemented, practiced, and maintained

Environmental

  • Assist with implementation and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areas (ISO 14001 & ISO 50001)

Continuous Improvement

  • Support all stakeholders in continuous improvement with a focus on efficiency and waste reduction
  • Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Participate in daily meetings for short‑interval management of day‑to‑day issues

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science‑related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance
  • Food manufacturing experience an asset
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Work experience of SAP an asset
  • Experience with computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication skills
  • PCQI certification is an asset
  • Flexibility to work 8‑hour schedule and/or 12 hours continental shifts
  • Ability to work overtime to support production needs

The hourly rate for this position is $34.51. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
